A. BELIEVE NOT IN A HORSE though A HORSE IS STRONG. Psa. 20:7

1. Negatively our Strength will Fail without God. An horse is a vain thing for safety… Psa. 33:17 Be it found…a. in Horses because they are Many {Isa. 31:1b. in Chariots and their Multitude. {Isa. 31:1c. in Horsemen and their Might cf. Psa. 33:16

but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the Lord!

Woe to those who...rely on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong;

1. Negatively our Strength will Fail without God. Psa. 33:17

2. Positively, let our Strength be in Faith trusting God. Psa. 147:10, 11a. God's Strength is Superior to any might.Hos. 1:7; Deut. 20:1b. God's Spirit is Supreme over any might.Zech. 4:6, 7It is Not by Might – the Multitude of Horses;Nor by Power – the Might of Horses;But My Spirit saith the Mighty Lord of Hosts.

I will…save them by the Lord, their God, and will not save them by bow, nor by sword, nor by battle, by horses, nor by horsemen.

C. BE NOT LIKE THE HORSE though A HORSE IS SPEEDY Psa. 32:9; Jer. 8:6

1. Used of a People Quick to do their Own Thing. Jer. 8:6b cf. 7:23, 24 (-28)

every one turned to his course, as the horse rusheth to battle.

They refused to… a. Obey God's Word. 7: 23, 24ab. Walk in God's Ways. 7: 23b, 24bc. Follow God so that they might be Well. 7: 23c, 24cWell (yatab): Fr. root, to make well, lit. (sound, beautiful) or fig. (happy, successful, right)In this Year of the Horse, God wants us to Rejoice and have A Joyful and Prosperous (Successful) Chinese New Year

Revelation 6:2-8The Horses are Coming…

And I saw…and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.

Another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.

a. The White Horse of "Peace" is Coming. 6:1, 2 i. In Peaceful Conquest. ii. In a People's Coronation.

b. The Red Horse of “bloody” Power is Coming. 6:3, 4 i. Power to take away Peace. ii. Power to kill People.
