Executive Summary

It Draws attention of people towards the known

but not so thought problem of Global

Warming

It looks like a documentary; however it is part

documentary, part autobiography and part

campaign against this imminent issue.Al Gore collected data by travelling to various

places throughout world.

The main objective of the movie Is to sensitize

people and think about the repercussions of

increased levels of CO2.

It beautifully depicts how this can be harmful for

our future generations.

He says ifwe do things in correct way, it will help to create

more jobs and wealth and thereby increase economy.

The mileage efficient cars are lowest in the US and people

prefer cars which come from more environmental friendly

norms country. The market capitalization for US cars was

low as compared to Japanese or Korean cars.

Towards the end he suggests how efficient technology can

help decrease the CO2 levels. He also suggests renewable

source is the one which should be used more often.

With almost all Countries agreeing to Kyoto Protocol,economies have an added consideration to reduce carbon

emission. This impacts the working of industries and

business at large in these countries.

Some states in the US have started taking

initiative to tackle the problem of Global

warming.

One of the scientist of NASA has contradicted his

testimony regarding the scientific conclusion due

to the government pressure and pressure from

higher NASA officials.

All the governments need to work together totackle this issue of global warming by balancing

the economy and the safety of our planet.

Suggestions to Control CO2 level include use of

efficient electric appliances, efficient passenger

vehicles, public transport for long distance and

walk or cycle for shorter distances

Renewable resources in order to tackle the

If people follow all suggested things than we canachieve carbon emission level less than that of

1970.

The movie sensitize people about an issue which hasnever been given a greater thought.

It beautifully depicts the efforts of Al Gore in

collecting data and presenting it,

Movie gives insights about how government and

society can help change the situation long foreseen.It shows economy is important but not at the cost of

entire planet.

The movie is 1 hr and 36 min which we suppose is

long and become monotonous after some time. A

shorter movie without the repetition of topics wouldhave been much better.

It also hops from one topic of discussion to another

too quickly.
