ABOUTLODZ SEZ

Lodz Special Economic Zoneadministratively separated part of the territory of Poland, wherecompanies may conduct their business activities on special,preferential terms determined by the Law on SEZ.

It will operate until 2020.Lodz Special Economic Zone Joint Stock Co.company managing the zone. It operates on behalf of theMinister of Economy and grants State Aid in a form of income

tax exemption.

* According to EU definition SMEs are companies that employ up to 250 workers

INVESTMENT COSTS

Amount of State Aid = aid intensity x eligible costs

expenditures on the land purchase,

expenditures on buildings and structures,

expenditures on new fixed assets (equipment),

expenditures on purchase of intangible and legal assets necessary toobtain patents, licenses etc,

expenditures on renting or leasing, plots, buildings and structures oncondition that the period of rent or lease will last for min. 5 years(3 years for SME).

ELIGIBLELABOUR COSTS

Amount of State Aid = aid intensity x two-year labourcosts of newly hired employees

Labour costs are:

expenses connected with two-year labour costs of newly hired employees,which include gross remuneration costs for these empolyees plus obligatorypayments related to their employment (e.g. insurance) incurred by

an entrepreneur since the day of hiring these employees(number of employees indicates employees per full-time jobs).

CIT exemption in Special Economic Zone only available inSpecial Economic Zone (SEZ)(provided by the SEZ management board)

Government grants individually approved and granted bythe Ministry of the Economy based on the Council ofMinisters Resolution (Central grant)

Cash grants available through EU Funds subject tonegotiation with different managing institutions depending

on the investment project key parameters Real Estate tax exemptions granted by local authorities.

All above presented instruments can be combined together however the total amount of

public aid cannot exceed the maximum aid level/intensity
