Terms used Throughout This Contract:

Fursuit Head – A mascot head depicting the desired original character design provided and owned by the commissioner

Partial Fursuit – A set of mascot accessories which include a Fursuit head, tail, and handpaws, based off the original character design owned and provided by the commissioner.

Fursuit Parts – Individual created mascot accessories i.e. handpaws or a tail.

Reff Sheet – A sheet (either sketched or digital) of the desired original character design showing a front, side, and back view of the character including any marking/colors.

*UNDERSTANDING THE REASON FOR THIS CONTRACT AND WHY YOU MUST PROVIDE ME WITH A VALID ID AND SOME FORM OF ID SHOWING HOW YOU WILL BE PURCHASING FROM ME:

For those who are under the age of 18 (and cannot provide a valid ID and form of payment), I will need to be payed via your parents. If you are under 16 years of age (and cannot provide a valid ID and form of payment), I must do EVERYTHING through your parents. I WILL NEED TO BE CONTACTED BY THEM FIRST BEFORE ANY PURCHASES ARE MADE!

If younger than 18 (and cannot provide a valid ID and form of payment), your parents will also be required to sign a contract, which will detail that they know that buying a fursuit is an expensive investment, that it (the fursuit) will need to be taken care of, and that their child will most likely grow out of in a year. I will also require a photo ID so that I know it is not the child messaging/emailing me, pretending to be the parent (if they themselves cannot provide a valid ID themselves).

“Why do you require this?”, you may be asking. This is mainly due to that sometimes children in the furry community steal their parents’ credit cards, and then once the parents realize the purchase on their card, they have it charged back often after money has been spent by the maker for the necessary supplies. This leaves the makers without any money and they are forced to pay the parents back out of pocket sometimes hundreds or even thousands of dollars.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS (I would strongly suggest you go over these with your child as well):

1. I do require a $40 down payment on Fursuit Heads and Partials (after the contract is signed) for you to secure a commission spot. For Fursuit Parts, I require a full payment before I can start working on them. If you decide not to go forward with the commission the day after payment, you will get a full refund. Please keep this in mind.

2. I will need a 50% down payment (+ shipping) for a Fursuit Head if the full amount cannot be provided during the initial purchase. I will require the rest of the 50% payment by the first week of the month of completion.

3. I will need a 30% down payment (+shipping) for a Partial Fursuit if the full amount cannot be provided during the initial purchase. I will require a second 30% payment a month before completion, and the final 40% the first week of the month of completion.

4. If the FULL purchase of either a Partial Fursuit, Fursuit Head, or Fursuit Parts, needs to be canceled (after payment and before the creation of the product has begun), I will issue the following refund:

100% the day after the FULL purchase

5. For purchases made in FULL after progress has begun on the suit, I will issue the following refunds:

30% refund for a Partial Fursuit 25% refund for a Fursuit Head20% refund for Fursuit Parts

6. I WILL NOT do refunds to partly payed Fursuit Heads or Fursuit Partials after the creation has begun. For example: If you order a Fursuit Head from me and you initially pay the 50%, and then you find out you can no longer pay the next payment, or have decided you do not want the head anymore, I cannot give you a refund. However, if you pay the partial payment and cancel the day after you have placed your order, I CAN issue you a refund then.

7. Please understand that I am not responsible for any damage done to the purchased product once it leaves my hands and is taken by the postal service.

8. If you receive your product and it is not what you ordered (i.e. missing marks, completely wrong coloring [green instead of red, blue instead of pink, etc.]) I will issue you a 10% refund, however I WILL NOT ACCEPT RETURNS.

9. My Fursuit Head bases are currently made of ½ inch foam; however, I am experimenting with making Poly-fil based heads so they are machine washable.

10. I DO NOT air brushing markings at this point in time, nor will I paint markings directly onto the fur.

11. I DO NOT AND WILL NOT make Fursuit Partials, Fursuit Parts, or Fursuit Heads SPECIFFICLY for any type of sexual activity, nor will I make any that are designed to resemble (in both design or color) male/female genitals or breasts. What you intend on doing in the end with your suit is up to you.

12. I WILL NOT make Fursuit Partials, Fursuit Parts, or Fursuit Heads based off of existing characters such as Majira Strawberry, Telephone, Pocari Roo ect. Please understand that if you are ordering a Dutch Angel Dragon, make sure to review all the guidelines and rules of the community before commissioning me. 13. I do not typically do rush orders (please contact me about this). However I would be willing to do this for an extra payment. Although I will do my very best to get your order out to you on time, I still cannot guarantee that your order will arrive on the exact day you have requested. Please understand that I put a lot of effort, time, and TLC into these products. The longer it takes for me to finish the order, the better the product, so please be patient.

14. If your Fursuit Partials, Fursuit Parts, or Fursuit Heads is in need of repair, you are welcome to send it back to me, however there will be a repair fee and you will need to be willing to pay for shipping on your end.

15. You WILL NEED to provide me with a character Reff Sheet before placing your order so that I can make sure I am able make what you are asking for.

16. Please understand that markings with either be hand sewn or machine sewn. More markings mean more seams and the potential of “popping” (the seam coming apart). More markings also mean it may taking me longer to complete the order.

17. I will not do very detailed or extravagant markings (like a detailed vine of leaves)! Please contact me about this if you have questions/concerns about your character’s markings.

18. Do be aware that your vison will be impaired in a fursuit head. Common blind spots include the bridge of the nose, limited peripheral vision (like how a guinea pig’s vision is or similar to a horse’s), and below the muzzle. Although I will try my best to make a “good vision” head, please do not expect your vision to be as good as it is naturally when you are not wearing the head.

19. As an artist, I cannot guarantee that the base of your Fursuit Head will exactly resemble the style of your provided character Reff Sheet. I can guarantee that I will follow your reference sheet to the best of my ability, but please understand that each fursuit maker has their own unique style in creating fursuit head basses. Please understand that copyright laws also exist in the fursuit making business, so I am unable to replicate an

already existing copyrighted style (ex. The chibi style of Telephone, Don’t Hug Cacti, That’s Furred Up, etc.).

20. Although I will make a head to your measurements, you might need to make minor positioning adjustments when you receive your head. Remember, it may fit me bit different compared to you.

21. Please understand that I do have a life outside of Fursuit making, therefore occasionally I will need to take a few days off to myself to rest and recuperate. My health comes first.

Recommendations:

I would suggest you do a little research on fursuits (if you haven’t already) to see what is involved in owning one. You will need to brush it and disinfect it on a regular basis and eventually wash it (especially after conventions or large meetups). The better you take care of it, the longer your suit will last. Please contact me if you have any questions regarding how to wash your fursuit/fursuit head if you are a bit hesitant. In every shipment, I will include instructions of how I personally wash my own fursuit/fursuit parts.

I___Emilie Brynteson__UNDERSTAND BY SELLING MY CLIENT_______________________THE FOLLOWING ITEM(S),______mini fursuit partial____, THEY ARE TRUSTING ME WITH THEIR MONEY AND THEIR WORD, AND THAT I WILL DO MY BEST TO COMPLETE THEIR ORDER IN THE TIME PERIOD THAT HAS BEEN DETERMIND. I UNDERSTAND THAT IF THE BUYER CANNOT COMMIT TO PAYING FULL PRICE (IF THE COMMISION IS FINISHED) THEN I HAVE THE RIGHT TO RESELL THE PRODUCT TO ANOTHER PERSON(S) AT A DISCOUNT PRICE OF 20%. GOOD TO NOTE:

Henceforth (after the contract has been signed, and the submitted character approved), work shall begin as soon as the buyer has payed (either in full or via payment plan), and the money has gone through, so that the necessary supplies can be bought. If there is any future questions regarding the provided information (or lack thereof), both parties must refer back to the contract and any other saved/filed conversation to help settle the conflict/dispute (if one may occur).
