Buus ice machines are compact units with an

optimum performance compared to size

Due to products-optimizing and choice of materials

an improvment in performance of 15-20% in

comparison to compatible units is not unusual

The units are seawater proof and produce iceflakes

from slat water without problems – including warm

salt water

Separate system: most of Buus ice machines are

connected directly to existing cooling systems or to

systems built by the customer

All-in-one system: a “plug in” solution which is an all-

in-one unit combining cooling and freezing

Split system: Icemaker and cooling unit are placed in

such a way that surplus heating from the cooling unit is

kept away from a production

Special Iceflaker

Special iceflakers. For fruit sauce, pet food etc.

Special fluids requires special iceflakers. The iceflakers

are build accordingly to customers wishes. We offer

iceflaker for freezing e.g. strawberry sauce, pet food,

blood.

The iceflakers for sauce and other fluids with a high

content of dry matter are build with the ice knife "upside

down". You feed the machine from a vessel.

The product is easily discharged from the iceflaker and

cleaning the machine is very easy since there are no

parts that cannot be reached.

The iceflaker is made with all parts in aluminum so that

you can use e.g. Temper with a temperature down to -

50°c (-55°F).

Efficiency: Compared to a band freezer the iceflaker is

beyond comparison. The aluminum drum transfer the

heat up to ten times better than a steel band. What can

Advantage and disadvantage of Buus Iceflaker

The drums are anodised which make them last much longer than drum that are not  Advantage: The ice will have the same good quality all the iceflakers life since the drum is not attached by corrosion Disadvantage: A brand new untreated drum is a little more efficient than an anodised drum and will produce more ice per kW than a anodised drum  BUUS Refrigeration designed the shaft seals  Advantage: Much longer lifetime than any of the similar products on the market. The risk of leaking is reduced significantly  Disadvantage: A slightly higher price since the number of shaft seals produces is limited  Machines for slaughterhouses and similar productions are available with automatic drain of the water chamber  Advantage: Minimizes risk of germ growth in the water chamber when the machines are not running  Disadvantage: It takes approximately ten minutes before the water chamber is filled with water and the machine will produce ice after it has been emptied  BUUS flake ice machines are made by high grade stainless steel and food approved plastics. The same materials are used for both land- and marine version 

Advantage: The machine will always stay the same without corrosion  Disadvantage: A slightly higher price than if it were built with galvanized iron
