A is for adventureland

Adventure land1. there is only 1 adventure land in the whole USA. It’s the biggest amusement park in Iowa.

B is for black hawk and

bald eagle1. Black hawk was born in in 1832 2. He died in 1903 when chief black hawk was

very young he became brave Black Hawk was a war chief who lead a Sauk tribe to war. Black Hawk went to prison for fighting for his land in Iowa. He refused to give in with out a fight.

bald eagles have a long, downward-curving

yellow bill, and large, keen eyes. These strong

fliers have white feathers on their head, tail,

and wing tips; the body has brown feathers.

The feet have knife-like talons. Eagles have

about 7,000 feathers. Adult eagles have a 7 ft

(2.3 m) wingspan and can reach 3 ft (1 m) in

height. They weigh between 9 and 14 pounds;

the females are 30% larger than the males

Combine this with one of the many restaurants also located around Main Street and you have the perfect evening planned. Before dinner you can stroll through Central Park and visit some of the many specialty shops and stores that make Fort Madison the place to visit in 2010

G is for geodeIowa geodes have long been objects of curiosity, their sparkling interiors containing some of the most beautiful crystals to be found anywhere in the Midwest. Although geodes are known from many localities around the world, one of the most productive and famous collecting regions is encompassed within a 35-mile radius of Keokuk, Iowa. Rock collectors commonly refer to geodes from this region as "Keokuk geodes." In keeping with the world-renowned status of the Iowa geodes, the Iowa General Assembly declared the geodes as the official "State Rock" in 1967.

H is for Hawkeyes

The Hawkeyes are a football team they are very good at football . They also play basketball and soccer they are the best at any sport really. There stadium is in Iowa city and they play there a lot to so if u ever go to a game there vote for Hawkeyes.

I is for Iowa stateIowa state plays football and basketball but I don’t know about soccer any ways I like the Iowa state cyclones they are really good at football they have a lot of fans but not that many in are school. The cyclones stadium is in Aims Iowa that’s a popular city also.

J is forJohn Wayne was a famous actor he played in a lot of old movies like old western cowboy movies .

K is for Ku Klux Klan

The Ku Klux Klan is very racist they kill black people I don’t know why they kill blacks they are people just like us but a different color.

The Council Bluffs Parks and Rec. Dept. has done a beautiful job renovating the monument! It extends to the edge of a bluff where you can see the river and the Omaha skyline in full view. There are modern bathrooms, running water during the riding season as well as a phone at the monument. Park in the designated parking lot.

The National Park Service operates no campgrounds along the park. However, park partners do have plenty of sites and locations up and down the Missouri River corridor from which to choose. Reservations are recommended for summer weekends.

N is for Nascar

NASCAR's biggest race, the Daytona 500 is also the first race of the year. It is like having Super Bowl at the beginning instead of at the end. Racing legend Richard Petty has 200 career victories, first on the all-time list . Seven came at the Daytona 500. Dale Earnhardt won the Daytona 500 in 1998, in his 20th attempt. He was killed in the last-lap at the 2001 Daytona 500. Dale Earnhardt Jr., won the race in 2004.

Almost 97 years ago long , before serial killers and mass murders had become a way of life , two adults and 6 children were found brutally murdered in their bed in the small town of Villisca , Iowa. During the week that fallowed, life in this small town changed drastically.

The Iowa Legislature designated the Wild Rose as the official state flower in 1897. It was chosen for the honor because it was one of the decorations used on the silver service which the state presented to the battleship USS Iowa that same year. Although no particular species of the flower was designated by the Legislature, the Wild Prairie Rose (Rosa Pratincola) is most often cited as the official flower. Wild roses are found throughout the state and bloom from June through late summer. The flower, in varying shades of pink, is set off by many yellow stamens in the center.
