Microsoft

In the early 1970’s all we relied on was typewriters. If we need to copy a document, we likely a mimeograph or carbon paper.

In 1975 Bill Gates and Paul Allen form a partnership called Microsoft.

Like most start-ups, Microsoft begins small, but has a huge vision, a computer on every desktop and in every home.

During the next years, Microsoft begins to change the ways we work.

Apple

Apple Computer, Inc., is a multinational corporation that creates consumer electronics, personal computers, computer software, and commercial servers, and is a digital distributor of media content.

Founders Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak effectively created Apple Computer on April 1 1976, with the release of the Apple and incorporated the company on January 3 1977 in Cupertino, California.

Console Gaming The history of video games goes as far

back as the 1940s, when in 1947 Thomas T. Goldsmith, Jr. and Este Ray Mann filed a United States patent request for an invention they described as a "cathode ray tube amusement device."

Video gaming would not reach mainstream popularity until the 1970s and 1980s, when arcade video games, gaming consoles and home computer games were introduced to the general public.

The Internet is a global system of interconnected computer networks that use the standard Internet protocol suite (TCP/IP) to serve billions of users worldwide.

It is a network of networks that consists of millions of private, public, academic, business, and government networks, of local to global scope, that are linked by a broad array of electronic, wireless and optical networking technologies.

The Internet carries an extensive range of information resources and services, such as the inter-linked hypertext documents of the World Wide Web (WWW) and the infrastructure to support email.

Mobile

A mobile phone (also known as a cellular phone, cell phone and a hand phone) is a device that can make and receive telephone calls over a radio link while moving around a wide geographic area.

It does so by connecting to a cellular network provided by a mobile phone operator, allowing access to the public telephone network.

By contrast, a cordless telephone is used only within the short range of a single, private base station.
