Photojournalism
is a particular form of journalism (the collecting, editing, and presenting of news material for publication or broadcast) that employs images in order to tell a news story.

There isn’t a strict formula as to how far you go with your education but having at least a Bachelor’s in Writing may help with employment
No certificates required but having a membership from the American Society of Media Photographers can benefit at a professional stance
Must keep a portfolio of previous works to advertise to future clients and such
Education/Training
Must be willing to work in high pressure situations
Be able to meet deadlinesCommunication and decision making skills
are also futileComputer skills (editing software etc.)

From the years 2012-2022 the business will rise 4% which is lower than the average rate
It is lower because of the decrease in newspapers and magazines being produced and increase in online databases etc.
This also opens up new opportunities for the journalists in a way to display their works through a new source
Job Outlook
The potential earnings for a Photojournalist vary from whichever agency you may be contracted to or if you just sell on the go.
The average annual wage is about $43,090 as of May 2013
