Many people are still living

in extreme poverty - often

without electricity or

running water.

All age groups, including teenagers, have welcomed the boxes.

Disadvantaged children may never have received a gift before.

Reporter Helen Bell saw first hand the impact these gifts had on the people of Romania after spending four days there two years ago on the trail of the boxes. "I was touched by their disbelief at

receiving such a gift. The appeal truly makes a difference to these

children; the delight on their faces was obvious."

the poor families there.

• Fill it with goodies.

• Label it.

• Return it to school.

TOYS (indicate age and gender). Toys are always needed especially at Christmas, Easter and for birthdays.

SUGGESTIONS:Matchbox type cars, fluffy toy animals, small bouncy balls, dolls, colouring books, crayons, felt tip pens, pencils, Lego, jigsaws, etc.

TEENAGER (indicate age and gender).

SUGGESTIONS:For boys and girls up to the age of 18. Make-up, toiletries, sportswear, scarf, gloves, hat, writing materials, deodorants, comb, mirror, football memorabilia, etc.

Boxes are collected by the Rotary Club, delivered to a central warehouse then

delivered to Eastern Europe.

Once delivered, distribution is overseen by local Rotary Clubs and groups such as the

International Aid Trust, so we know that your gifts go to those most in need.
