About CET CalibrationA Brief HistoryFrom humble beginnings, we have grown as the demand for high quality calibrations services has increased. We now operate out of a 6,000 ft2 laboratory facility near Chesterfield in Derbyshire and are part of the larger CET Group of Companies.

The Complete Calibration SolutionHere at CET Calibration we focus on providing a professional and comprehensive calibration service, whether we are operating out of our laboratory or carrying out operations onsite at your premises. Our highly qualified and motivated team has years of experience in the field of metrology, enabling us to provide you with access to first class technical knowledge and support.

We provide metrology calibration services to a broad range of industries, including; automotive, Aerospace, rail, electronics, medical, precision engineering, chemical, environmental, energy generation, electrical network distribution, general manufacturing and the construction trade.

As an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited calibration laboratory (No. 0783) CET Calibration are able to meet the exacting standards required to ensure critical traceability is adhered to.

UKAS Accreditation is limited to those activities described in our UKAS Schedule of Accreditation (No. 0783).

Management Information SystemWe have developed a bespoke Calibration Management Information System (CMiS), which is used to manage the entire calibration process for your equipment.

The CMiS places a wealth of management information at our customers’ fingertips. Including job tracking, costing, deliveries and transaction history.

Customers are provided with access to the system via an intuitive and easy-to-use web portal. Here, customers can view copies of their calibration certificates, along with detailed equipment notes and renewal dates, negating the need to maintain their own in-house system.

Automated renewal and equipment recall reminder notifications are triggered prior to certificate expiry,

Electrical Calibration Assuring the quality, consistency and stability of a current, voltage or resistance etc. is crucial. Traceability for the measurement not only fulfils the requirements of ISO 9001, but also gives confidence that safety precautions are being met in compliance with the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989.Electrical calibration is designed to ensure any electrical device is operating within pre-set limits. These limits are in place to guarantee that the safety standard or rating of the device meets HSE and BS legislation.

Reliability, operating life, functionality, safety and cost can all be impacted by a lack of calibration conducted by an approved laboratory.

Our automated Fluke Calibration System enables us to calibrate a wide variety of multimeters, signal generators and general test equipment:

• Multimeters, Ammeters, Voltmeters, Clamp Meters, Resistance Meters

• Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analysers, Curve Tracers

• LCR Meters, Frequency Meters, Function Generators

For example, ensuring an autoclave reaches and maintains set temperatures within the entire working volume provides peace of mind that the underlying process is operating correctly.

Temperature calibration services from CET Calibration are available for a wide range of equipment:

Pressure Calibration Accurately monitoring and recording pressure is of paramount importance across a range of industries, and is often a requirement from the customer of a finished assembly or product. The results of this could have far reaching ramifications. Force and Flow Calibration Calibration of force and flow gauges or instruments includes the likes of torque tools, flow meters, scales, balances and a range of compression instruments. Each of these device families require the same essential calibration that would be required of any other gauge or instrument.During assembly processes ensuring the correct torque value is applied aids safety and functionality. Ensuring reference weights are correct and balances or scales read to the correct weight is also critical when ensuring the correct compound ratio of ingredients, raw materials or finished products.

Flow meters and gauges are used in many industries from heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) engineers to medical applications such as syringe calibration. The flow of essential liquids, oils, air, petrol and gases has a fundamental role to play in safety, performance and compliance.

Tension and compression testing has a vital role to play within most industries, from the manufacture of textiles through to high speed trains. Incorrect calibration may devalue (or overvalue) a product and, in a worst-case scenario, effect the product’s ability to meet industry safety standards.

Thanks to our recent investment in a bespoke force rig, we are able to test tension and compression up to 50 tonnes.

Force and flow calibration services from CET Calibration are available for a wide variety of devices:

• Torque: Analysers, Wrenches, Screwdrivers

• Airflow: Pitot Tube, Vane and Hot Wire Anemometers, Ventilation Apertures

• Mass: Calibration Weights, Measuring Weights from 0.01g to 300kg

Dew Point is the atmospheric temperature below which water droplets begin to condense and can vary according to pressure and humidity (the invisible amount of water vapour in the air). When both dew point and humidity need to be monitored or controlled, it is important that those instruments are calibrated to the correct standard.Protection of electronic devices, installations and equipment from the build-up of humidity helps prevent damage, ensures optimal life and contributes to the safety of electrical and electronic equipment.

Humidity within a production environment can result in the accelerated onset of oxidation (rust) in metals; impacting on operational performance and potentially leading to increased costs – either from process efficiency or remedial action.

CET Calibration offers a range of dew point and humidity calibration services:

• Calibration of humidity and dew point meters in the range: 5-95% RH, 0-60 °c

• Calibration of up to 5 probes simultaneously

• Traceability of calibration via a UKAS certificate

• Calibration of cylindrical probes up to 30mm diameter

• Calibration of instruments with integral sensors and displays

• Calibration of dew point meters within the range capabilities
