Evangelism doesn't have to be frustrating or intimidating. Effectively communicating our faith in Christ should be the most natural thing in the world. The  Becoming a Contagious Christian video program is a groundbreaking, personalized approach to relationship evangelism. You will discover your own natural evangelism style, how to develop a contagious Christian character, how to build spiritually strategic relationships, how to direct conversations toward matters of faith, and how to share biblical truths in everyday language. Our prayer is this six-week series will ignite a greater passion for evangelism and better equip you to fulfill the Great Commission.

Please prayerfully consider plugging into a Grow Group this next school year. Sign up tables wil l be available in the back on September 6 & 13.

Biblical Counseling If you or someone you know would benefit from Biblical Counseling, please call the church office at (936) 582-1977.

Benevolence If you would like to help meet the needs within our body for those who are experiencing financial difficulties, please indicate “benevolence” with your contribution. If you are aware of any specific benevolence needs within the body please contact the following Deacons;  Steve Dwyer, Donald Avery, or Mark Sanderson.

LBC Kids Ministry We have some key volunteer needs in the LBC Kids Ministry that we need your help with! Please prayerfully consider jumping in to care for and shepherd the souls of all these children God has brought to Lakeside. If you are interested in helping, please contact the Church Office. Here is a list of our specific needs:

- 5 Teams of two for Toddler Care (18 months - 3 years of age) -  Once every 5 weeks during Worship Service

- 1 Teaching Team of two for Preschool (3 & 4 year olds) -  Once every 5 weeks during Worship Service

- 1 Teaching Teams of two for Children’s Church (1st grade) -  Once every 5 weeks during Worship Service

- 5 Teaching Teams of two for Children’s Church (2nd grade) -  Once every 5 weeks during the Worship Service

- 2 People for Toddler Care (18 months - 3 years of age) -  Once a month on Wednesday Nights

CARE help people to practice the “one anothers” of Scripture

Proverbs 23:24 says, "The father of the righteous will greatly rejoice, and he who sires a wise son will be glad in him." But how is it that in spite of God's design for children to bring joy, happiness, contentment, satisfaction, and love to their parents, they so often become a heartbreak instead? Marriages and families that ought to be filled with peace, joy, and contentment are more often characterized by conflict, intimidation, and estrangement. Homes tend to be war zones rather than havens. We are raising a generation of people exposed to an evil sun, unprotected by any kind of proper, God-ordained standard of living.

This year we will be going through a new discipleship resource entitled Partners. This study is designed to get you personally connected on a weekly basis with other mature, growing Christians in order to help you advance in your understanding and application of ten biblical themes that are critically important in the Christian life.

Each chapter in the Partners workbook will serve as the basis for your weekly small group meetings. The chapters will direct you to read sections of the Bible that relate to that week’s topic and prompt you to answer specific questions about the implications/application of those verses.

Then, when meeting with your group, you will discuss the truths you have studied, seek to sharpen your understanding and grow in your devotion to Jesus Christ. Books will be available soon in the Resource Center for $10. Please sign up on the back table if you plan to attend.
