BIOLOGY ENGLISH MATHEMATICS
Mathematics learners gain lifelong benefits, including:• the development of their mathematical knowledge• confidence, by developing a feel for numbers, patterns and relationships• an ability to consider and solve problems and present and interpret results• skills in communication and reasoning using mathematical concepts• a solid foundation for further study.
The aims are to:• Develop learners’ ability to use English effectively • Build a solid foundation for the skills required for further study or employment • Develop learners’ awareness of the nature of language skills
Provides an enjoyable and worthwhile educational experience, in order to: • Become confident citizens in a technological world • Allow learners to recognize that science is evidence based and understand the usefulness and the limitations, of scientific method• Develop attitudes relevant to biology (ex. concern for accuracy and precision, objectivity integrity, etc..)
