NECC-Cambridge College Partnership

Northern Essex Community College's (NECC) partnership with Cambridge College enables

Associate in Arts in Psychology students to transfer up to 77 NECC credits toward a Cambridge

College Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.

The primary purpose of NECC's Psychology program partnership with Cambridge College is to

maximize the number of transferable credits, and facilitate ease of enrollment between our two

institutions.

This program partnership is designed to maximize the students' educational experience and

earned credits in the following ways:

• Cambridge College provides graduates of Northern Essex Community College's Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts: Psychology guaranteed admission into its Bachelor of Arts in Psychology program.

• Cambridge College accepts, in total, all credits constituting the NECC Associate of Arts degree in Liberal Arts: Psychology.

• Cambridge College permits NECC's Psychology students to take additional NECC courses above and beyond the credits applied to their Associate's degree, for a total of up to 77 transferable credits. These additional NECC courses are identified in the table below, and must be completed at a grade of 2.0 or higher for inclusion in this program.

• Cambridge College will provide an eighteen {18) percent tuition discount for the Cambridge College portion of the program.

In order to continue providing students with the best possible opportunities to further their

education, Northern Essex Community College and Cambridge College are committed to creating

program partnerships that will insure that all students have the opportunity to continue to

advance and excel.

This agreement shall remain in effect for a period of three years from the date listed below, with

the provision that the terms specified herein will continue to apply to students admitted from

Northern Essex Community College's AA in Liberal Arts: Psychology degree within one year of the

expiration of the agreement. Each institution agrees to provide timely notice to the other in the

event of any modification to the curriculum that might affect compatibility for admission and

transfer of coursework. This agreement may be subject to change, with notification, if curriculum

requirements change at either institution. Students admitted to the Northern Essex Community

College's AA in Liberal Arts: Psychology degree program prior to such notification shall be admitted

to Cambridge College on the basis of this agreement. This agreement is conditional upon

the Psychology Department maintaining its' program approval from the Massachusetts Board of

Higher Education.
