Camfil entered the Carbon Reduction category, which Romeo Effs, Group Supply Chain Manager at MITIE explained as:

“Our impact in terms of carbon foot print is very important for us to both manage and reduce. We

want to lead the way in carbon reduction programs: taking our staff, clients and supply chain along

that journey is essential to doing this”

Suppliers had to demonstrate their capabilities in the following areas:

• a sustainable approach to procurement, constantly taking in to account their

environmental, social and economic effects

• Constantly providing value added services that help to control MITIE’s total costs

• They are a responsible provider in terms of sustainability.

Bill Wilkinson Camfil Managing Director said:

“Camfil’s challenge is to educate Estates and Facilities Managers about the substantial

energy saving opportunities (25-50%) that can be made by replacing existing filter assets

with low energy air filters. MITIE is a world class organisation that is serious about carbon

reduction and sustainability right through their supply chain. We are delighted to have been

given such a prestigious award”
