Canadian ADS-B OUT Performance Requirement Mandate

Aeronautical Study Update NAV CANADA, the country’s provider of civil air navigation services, is conducting an aeronautical study to deliberate the requirement for a Canadian Automatic Dependent Surveillance – Broadcast (ADS-B) OUT performance requirement mandate. By using space-based ADS-B aircraft surveillance can be enhanced, which will allow air traffic control (ATC) to safely reduce aircraft separation resulting in improved operational efficiency. At this stage of the consultation process we are holding a WebEx / teleconference to provide an update on the scope of the aeronautical study.
