Company Profile

Australia Marine Services Pty Ltd, also known

as ‘A.M.S. Tugs & Barges’, was established in

2004 with our headquarter office located in

Perth, Western Australia. With historical ties

from Singapore, we offer a broad range of

marine related services to the booming coastal

marine / offshore industry in Australia as well as

on a world-wide level.

A.M.S. Tugs & Barges, being an accredited AS/

NZS ISO 9001:2008 company, strives for

continued service excellence in the provision of

various tugboats and barges. We own/operate a

growing fleet of highly specialised and quality

marine vessels within the Oceania region and

as well as on an international level. To date, we

have several regional operations offices located

in Asia, not only to aid with the construction

process of our dedicated Australian compliant

marine vessels but to also service any other

operational requirements in the region.

Due to A.M.S. Tugs & Barges’ continued long

term relationship with several ship building

associates around the Asian and Oceania

region, our organisation is able to supply quality

vessels that are not only IACS approved but are

also fully compliant to all Australian standards

and national regulations. Depending on our

client’s lead time to marine project

requirements, we also have the ability to

construct / modify our marine vessels to meet

the specific requirements of our clients.

Currently, A.M.S. Tugs & Barges owns and

operates a modern fleet of vessels comprising

of Harbour / Ocean-going Workboats, Offshore

Support / Supply Vessels, Anchor Handling

Tugboats/Supply (AHT/S), Deck Cargo Ballast

Tank Barges and Construction Spud Barges

with an average vessel age of 18 months. We

have established a good track record over our

operational years and our clientele includes

MNC oil and gas companies, logistics / material

handling companies as well as locally

established companies that are involved in

marine related construction, offshore support,

mining support and coastal dredging works.

Main Business Activities

A.M.S. Tugs & Barges’ focus has been in the Australasian region and over the years has maintained

a prominent position as a leading provider of a wide variety of marine related services. The company

is not only capable of servicing the Australasian clients but, over the years, has been able to provide

their services to an international client base. A.M.S. Tugs & Barges has successfully participated in

various projects involving coastal construction, offshore oil and gas transportation, offshore

exploration and other marine related projects across the Australasian region.

A.M.S. Tugs & Barges strives to provide the highest level of service and management standards that

often exceeds our clientele’s expectations. With our commitment towards our AS/NZS ISO

9001:2008 Quality Management System, we have the capability to tailor a total package for our

esteemed clients which will provide for a reliable, cost-efficient and quality marine solution.

Specialised Capabilities

With A.M.S. Tugs & Barges having a decade’s worth of operational excellence within the industry;

we have continuously strengthened our ties with various shipyards in the Asian region.

Over the years, this has allowed us to construct and supply quality marine vessels that meets all

applicable Australian national standards. We have a team of experienced personnel capable of

supervising and managing the various stages of ship-building; ensuring that our vessels within our

fleet not only attains IACS standards but also complies with all local Australian regulations.

A.M.S. Tugs & Barges pride ourselves in working with our clients at professional level; not against;

at all times. We have the resources in ensuring we deliver quality vessels that divides us from

similar vessel providers in the industry.

Our drive to continuously improve has also allowed for various R&D opportunities to arise over the

years. Through various channels including our client’s feedback, we have been able to develop

class-leading vessels such as our high spec’ed deck cargo barges that has the deck-loading

capability to withstand up to 25 tonnes per square meter. This means our high spec’ed barges can

be utilised for most, if not all offshore related heavy logistic and material handling requirements or

utilised as a heavy crane barge. To date, A.M.S. Tugs & Barges is still currently one of the few, if not

the only Australian company with barges of this capability in the market.

Where feasible, we are also able to carry out modifications to new building vessel project that can

meet the specific requirements of our clients.

A.M.S. Tugs & Barges pride ourselves in providing quality marine vessel and a high level of service excellence on both local and international level. While our main service is the charter provision of various marine vessels, we carry out other ancillary services such as the sales of marine vessels and undertaking new-building projects of various sizes and specifications of Tugs/ Supply Vessels, Shallow-Draft Workboats, AHT/S, specialised Offshore Vessels, and Deck Cargo Ballast Tank Construction Barges.

Our Australian marine vessel fleet fully complies with all applicable Australian standards and regulations; and have a fleet average age of 18 months, as of 4th Quarter 2013.

BARGES

A.M.S. Tugs & Barges is pleased to offer ship-building services; including design, fabrication, construction and delivery of various type of tugboats and barges through our associated shipyards. A.M.S. Tugs & Barges also has the capability of constructing other specialised vessels such as Tankers, General Cargo Ships, Self-propelled Landing Crafts, Accommodation Work Barges, Anchor Handling Tugs and Supply Boats.

The following lists of vessel can be constructed and delivered within 8 to 48 weeks; depending on various requirements, specification and the lead time to the machineries’ delivery.

TUGBOATS – Anchor Handling Tug/Supply – Z-Peller Harbour Tug

From 500 BHP up to 6000 BHP rated power and either single or twin screw Tugs – designed for local or ocean going services. Principal dimensions such as overall length ranges from 22m up to 70m, and have nautical endurances ranging from 12 - 38 days. Our tugs are designed to suit CUMMINS USA, CATERPILLAR, YANMAR, NIIGATA, and other quality marine diesel engines.

All A.M.S. Tugs & Barges’ designed and constructed vessels are carried out by a team of experienced and qualified personnel. This team will constantly maintain contact with the respective client/clients’ representative to meet any specific requirements that may arise. Every new ship-building project that we undertake will meet the respective IACS classification rules and standards, and we continuously strive to maintain a good relationship and rapport with societies such as the American Bureau of Shipping (A.B.S.), Bureau Veritas (B.V.) and Germanischer Lloyd (G.L.).

We have a proven track record for undertaking new-building projects; with the ability to deliver a required vessel in line with the client’s delivery schedule. This is further carried out without sacrificing on construction quality and the overall performance of any new-built vessel.

offshore industry. A.M.S. Tugs & Barges has forged a strong relationship over the years with numerous

local/international marine affiliated associates in the industry in order to offer a more comprehensive

proposal when required; at the benefit of our clients. A.M.S. Tugs & Barges endeavours to provide

quality assurance and efficient marine solution packages tailored to the specific operational

requirements of our clients.

A.M.S. Tugs & Barges also places the highest priority on safety for all employees, suppliers and

contractors. This commitment has allowed for A.M.S. Tugs & Barges' operations, both onshore and

offshore, to be successful and injury-free to date. Our 'Health, Safety & Environmental Policy' and

'Fitness for Work Policy' incorporates such values and allows this commitment to remain a success in all

current and future operations.


A.M.S. Tugs & Barges has established and implemented documented Safety Management System

(SMS) as the primary means of ensuring safe operations and to mitigate the risk of personal injury

and/or property damage resulting from use of equipment / vessels. A copy of the SMS will be

accessible on A.M.S. Tugs & Barges’ vessels and will provide a comprehensive and integrated

management system to minimise risk.
