Myers earns new ASQ certification VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – March 20, 2017 – Cape Henry Associates’ director of quality management, Ed Myers, recently completed the requirements and has been named an ASQ-Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excel- lence by the Certification Board of the American Society for Quality (ASQ). To qualify and be named an ASQ-Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence, or ASQ CMQ/OE, an individual must have 10 years of work experience related to the Body of Knowledge. They must demonstrate compre- hension and leadership in quality management principles and practices. “Earning an ASQ certification is more than a great accom- plishment - it’s a formal recognition of professionals that they have demonstrated an understanding of, and a commitment to, quality practices in their field,” said ASQ Chair Cecilia Kimberlin. “This distinction represents an investment in one’s future and provides a competitive advantage to those who earn ASQ certifications.” In addition to being quality management director at Cape Henry Associates (CHA), Ed is a senior member of ASQ, a Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), and a member of the Tidewater ASQ Senior Leadership Council. He has a master’s degree in organizational management from Cambridge College and a Bachelor of Science in interde- nominational studies from Excelsior College, and is a United States Navy Service-Disabled Veteran. Cape Henry’s Edward W. Myers earns new ASQ certification
