Parental Involvement-active participation of a parent in the child’s academic life in any capacity such as school committees/organizations, extracurricular support, school/homework assistance, etc. (NCLB Action Brief April 23, 2004)

Hybrid/blended Courses-a combination of face-to-face instruction and web-based learning

Student achievement-academic success in performance measured by tests, and increased positive attitude about learning

Student motivation-student willingness and effort to learn, attitude and interests in learning, beliefs about learning, and values of learning (Lumsden, L.)
