Program Objectives: The following address theACGME/ABMS “Medical Knowledge” and “Compassionate,Appropriate & Effective Patient Care” Competencies:Upon completion of this program, attendees should beable to better evaluate and manage: congestive heartfailure; acute and chronic coronary artery diseasesyndromes; new antiplatelet therapy; hypothermia;cardiac arrest; limb swelling; percutaneous valve replace-ment; “appropriate use criteria” testing; atrial fibrillation;syncope; arrhythmias; novel anticoagulants; pulmonaryembolism; nuclear cardiology; preventive cardiology;lipids; cardiovascular risk of diabetes and pre-diabetes;recent trials and their impact on clinical practice.
Who Should Attend? The course is intended forcardiologists as well as all primary care providers seekinga comprehensive update in cardiovascular diagnosticand therapeutic strategies.
