FEBRUARY 14, 2013: “CARDS 4 KIDS AT HEART”

OMAHA, NE: ON FEBRUARY 14, 2013, FROM 9:00 A.M. TO 4:00 P.M., IN COOPERATION WITH Community 360°. WILL BE COLLECTING THOUSANDS OF VALENTINES AND DISTRIBUTING THEM TO ALL AREA NURSING HOMES AND ASSISTED LIVING FACILITIES. In addition, to dozens of schools, organizations, churches and civic groups, the Omaha Storm Chasers mascot will be traveling with the volunteers to help distribute the Valentines. “This is a wonderful way to make an older persons day,” states Community 360° executive director, Paul Falkowski. “Older people living in nursing homes often times do not get visitors and so this is a great opportunity to create an intergenerational event that not only lifts the spirits of the nursing home residents but raises community awareness.” “We’re excited to partner with Community 360° for its annual Cards 4 Kids at Heart promotion,” said Andrea Stava, Community Relations Director for the Storm Chasers. “This is a great opportunity to bring a smile to someone’s face.” Volunteers are needed to distribute the Valentines on February 14, 2013, starting at 9:00 A.M. Valentines can be picked up at St. Joseph Tower, 2205 S 10th Street, Omaha, NE. Join Omaha Storm Chasers and Community 360° as we distribute thousands of Valentines in the Omaha area.
