Care builds communities where compassion, experience and support help people build better lives. Your involvement with NAMI Broward will help us provide information, support and resources to tens of thousands of people living with, or loving someone with, a mental illness in Broward County.

Founded in 1984, NAMI Broward County is dedicated to the eradication of the stigma associated with mental illnesses and to the improvement of quality of life for all individuals affected by these diseases.

NAMI Broward County provides free support groups, education classes and seminars, legislative advocacy, and information for people in our community living with mental illness as well as their loved ones. Programs include Family-to-Family, Peer-to-Peer, Basics, Provider Education, and Crisis Intervention Training (CIT) for law enforcement personnel.

With community support, donations and involvement in fundraising events, like our annual golf tournament and NAMI Walks, you will help us realize our goal of reaching tens of thousands:

• Families living/loving someone with a mental illness,

• Individuals living with a mental illness through support groups and activities, and

• Adolescents via our signature programs in Middle and High Schools
