2015 REDS2013: As the Reds battled for a Wild Card berth, in his last 45 apps of the season beginning 6/11 posted a 1.78era, including career-high scoreless streaks of 19 apps and 15.1 innings snapped on 7/30 at SD...over 17 apps from 6/21-8/7 retired 42-48 batters...stranded 25-30 inherited baserunners, including 24 of the last 28...from 4/26-5/23 was on the 15-day disabled list with a strained left pectoral muscle...posted an 8.10era in 6 apps before he was disabled and a 2.52era in 51 apps after he came off the DL...earned the 10-inning, 3-2 win vs NYM on 9/23, when the Reds clinched their Wild Card playoff spot...on 4/5 vs Wsh singled off Zach Duke in the first of his 2 plate apps of the season...pitched in the sixth inning of the 6-2 Wild Card playoff loss at Pit and stranded an inherited baserunner.

2012: Missed the 2011 season with back and elbow injuries but returned to make a career-high 62 apps for the Brewers...following the season was eligible for arbitration but became a free agent after the Brewers did not tender a contract...just prior to 2013 spring training was signed by the Reds to a 1-year contract.

2011: Missed the season while on the disabled list, first with an injury to the facet joint in his back and then with a sprained ulnar collateral ligament and strained flexor in his left elbow...suffered the back injury in a spring training appearance on 3/3 vs Oak...after 8 rehabilitation apps in April was diagnosed with the elbow injuries...on 5/24 was transferred to the 60-day DL and didn’t pitch again the rest of the season...on 8/30 had surgery to remove a bone spur from his left elbow (Dr. William Raasch).

2010: Went 2-7, 6.19 in his 16 starts and 1-3, 2.39 in 26 relief apps...made 17 of his first 18 apps of the season in relief, then from 5/29-8/22 made 15 consecutive starts...made his last 9 apps in relief and in that span didn’t allow a run (13.2ip, 7h, 19k)...in the ninth inning on 4/22 at Pit, his only RBI of the season produced the final run in the Brewers’ 20-0 win, tied for the largest margin of victory in club history...in the 10-inning, 4-3 win on 6/6 at StL produced a career-high 10 strikeouts...in the fourth inning of that appearance became the first Brewers pitcher ever to record 4 strikeouts in an inning...on 6/23 vs Min tied the club single-game record with 4 wild pitches...on 10/21 had surgery to repair a small tear of the labrum in his left hip (Dr. William Raasch).

2009: During 2 stints with the Brewers made all 27 apps as a starter...from Opening Day through 6/13 went 3-8, 7.52 in 13 starts...from 7/9 through the end of the season went 8-3, 5.38 in 14 starts...in between those Major League stints made 4 starts at Class AAA Nashville...became the fifth pitcher in the decade to have at least 11 wins with an ERA of 6.00 or higher, joining Darren Oliver (2001), Dave Mlicki (2001), Jason Marquis (2006) and Livan Hernandez (2008)...on 10/6 had surgery to repair the AC joint in his left shoulder (Dr. William Raasch).

2008: Entered the season as the second-best prospect in the Brewers organization and spent the year with the Major League club...a team-high 6 times was the victim of a blown save...with 17 wild pitches established a new single-season club record and tied SF’s Tim Lincecum for the National League lead...earned his first Major League victory in a 5-4 win on 4/5 vs SF...was the club’s Pitcher of the Month for June (5gs, 5-0, 2.59)...over 11 apps from 5/20-7/20 produced a career-high 8-game winning streak.

2007: Was the Brewers’ Minor League Pitcher of the Year and a Southern League All-Star...in 17 starts at Class AA Huntsville and Class AAA Nashville combined to finish 10-4, 2.45...was selected to pitch in the Southern League All-Star Game but did not participate because he was promoted on 6/15...at the time of his promotion led the SL in ERA and ranked second in strikeouts...in the 3-0 win on 6/25 at Round Rock threw a perfect game (11k) in his second Class AAA start, just the third 9-inning perfect game in the 104-year history of the Pacific Coast League...was tabbed by Minor League Baseball the 2007 Single-Game Performance of the Year...was recalled on 7/16 and 4 days later vs SF made his Major League debut (1.1ip, 3k), inherited the bases loaded and struck out his first batter (Guillermo Rodriguez) to end the inning...on 7/28 at StL made his first career start, left with the lead but received no decision in the 7-6 loss and recorded his first career hit (2-run double off Brad Thompson)...made his only other start on 8/30 at Cubs and left the game in the top of the fourth inning with a chip fracture in his left thumb suffered while bunting...did not pitch again the rest of the season.
