Career Summer Institute in Mental Health
9/20/2010
JustificationThe passage of Proposition 63, Mental Health
Services Act (MHSA) in 2004 has infused funds into the mental health industry, which translates into increased job demand.
Although, most mental health professions require education beyond AS or AA degrees, a pipeline or pathway must be established to recruit from the local diverse population.
The institute will serve as an important part of that pipeline.
