Thursday, January 15 Concert Hall, noon Laudie Porter Lecturer in Music Voice Master Class Emily Lodine, mezzo soprano Friday, January 16 Concert Hall, 8:00 p.m. Guest Artist Concert Emily Lodine, mezzo soprano Nicola Melville, piano Distinguished mezzo soprano Emily Lodine will perform a recital of favorites and surprises. Lodine has appeared with the Chicago Symphony, Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, Philip Glass Ensemble, and at Carnegie Hall under the baton of John Rutter. She is a member of the Grammy- nominated group Conspirare. Acclaimed for her vocal skills and ability to inspire audiences, Lodine will perform music of Bach, Bolcom, and Mahler, as well as Schumann’s beloved song cycle Frauenliebe und Leben. Lodine also will offer a master class open to the public.
