Eason & Son CarlowFairgreen Shopping Centre, Carlow Town

Carlow is the ideal place to do business because its location off the M9 motorway has led to gradual development of the town through internal and external investment

Eason & Son Carlow was established in November 2011 by Eoin Hennigan and Michael Cahillane who are franchise holders of the Eason brand. With a background in the trade it was the proverbial no-brainer to take up the option of an Eason Store.

Eason & Son Carlow provide books, stationery, gifts of all descriptions, creative cards, confectionery, lottery tickets (recent server of a 66 million euro millions winner), cigarettes/tobacco, school books, toys, amongst other items.

Eason & Son is located in the Fairgreen S.C, which has established itself as the main shopping centre in Carlow providing an excellent variety of shops and services.

Eason & Son prides itself in providing a wide range of products at competitive prices. We are very proud of the level of service and unique atmosphere our shop affords our customers.

Eoin Hennigan says that Carlow is the ideal place to do business because its location off the M9 motorway has led to gradual development of the town through internal and external investment. Its primary characteristic is the friendliness and sheer likability of the Carlow people themselves.

Hennigan concluded by saying that it is both a privilege and a pleasure to do business in Carlow.

Carlow is the perfect place to do business as it has the ideal mix of retail from strong independent retailers to high street retailers. Carlow draws in people from neighbouring Counties because it has so much to offer. The biggest endorsement I can give Carlow is that people regularly come from miles around to shop

Detail Meanswear7 Potato Market, Carlow Town

Detail Menswear has a long history in Carlow Town, the business has gone through many different forms over the years but has always remained a leader in style in the County. The outlet is currently owned by Philip McDonald. After travelling around the US for a number of years, Philip decided to return to Carlow to run a business in the area which he has known from an early age.

Philip grew up working with his father Tom McDonald, owner of Mac’s Menswear, and as a result grew accustomed to retail. Detail Menswear was established in 1988 and has been a pioneer in fashion in Carlow ever since.

Detail Menswear is located on Potato Market, Carlow with Detail Jean Store located across the street. The shop provides an extensive amount of suits, casual wear, footwear, shirts & ties with enough variety to please any shopper.

Detail Menswear prides itself on its service, with very friendly staff who can put you at ease and help you with any fashion related questions.

People often travel from neighbouring counties to come to Detail Menswear. The main reason is that the shop is satisfying the fashion needs of customers whilst also providing an excellent and friendly service.

Teach Dolmain76 Tullow St, Carlow Town

Carlow is the ideal place to do business because it’s central and has a young educated workforce, situated in the most amazing countryside but still only a short distance to urban life. The area has such beautiful rivers and landscape, I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.

Teach Dolmain was established by Willie Rath in 1994 and since then the business has gone from strength to strength within Carlow. Originally owned by the McDermott family, the establishment has undergone renovations and extensions since opening. Teach Dolmain has built up a firm reputation for great food and fantastic service in a relaxed setting.

Teach Dolmain introduced the food and restaurant concept to the establishment and they now focus primarily on traditional Irish foods, with some European dishes.

Teach Dolmain can be described as an amazing traditional Irish pub in the heart of Carlow, certainly one of Ireland’s hidden gems.

Food is served from 9.30am for breakfast and coffee menu, whilst lunch is served from 12pm-3pm daily. An extensive evening, a la carte and value menu is available from 3pm-9.30pm every day. Teach Dolmain prides itself on providing good food, good music, good service and, most importantly, good atmosphere. The establishment has won several awards over the years including Best Gastro pub.

Teach Dolmain is famous for providing traditional Irish music sessions and live ballad groups every Thursday night. Over the weekends, entertainment is covered in the form of DJs and live music. Visitors are guaranteed a warm and friendly Cead Mile Failte.
