Sandvik Tooling Supply Japan K.K.

Established in 1976, the Semine Plant located in Kurihara, Miyagi produces carbide chips for cutting tools. The company’s headquarters in Sweden had at one point decided to shut down the factory, but reform became possible thanks to efforts aimed at preventing a withdrawal.Sandvik Tooling Supply is now one of thethree largest factories within the Sandvikgroup.

Tohoku University
