Location: Foxwood, Lower Raydon, Suffolk Product(s): TURFPROTECTA mesh Application: Grass Driveway and Slope Reinforcement SOLUTION TURFPROTECTA turf reinforcement mesh was specified to give the grassed surface reinforce- ment, so it could be used by occasional vehicles, and regular pedestrian use. TURFPROTECTA mesh was laid directly onto a consolidated bed of seeded top soil. A further .75” (approx.) of seeded topsoil was added to cover the mesh. The area was left for a few months to enable the grass to grow. BENEFITS The TURFPROTECTA mesh installed onto a surface that had been sowed ensured the grass would grow from beneath the mesh upwards and allow the roots to grow down towards the mesh from above. This gave the grass the perfect rein- forced root mass, capable of withstanding the intended loads.
