2016 Maintenance Assessment (Homeowners Dues):I will be ordering the 2016 Coupon Books soon. The coupon

book is for homeowners that are not using online payment method to pay their homeowner dues. The Board is looking at reducing the cost of printing and mailing coupon books by not ordering coupons books for homeowners that do not use, need or wants it. Please let the Manager know by calling the office at 512-451-3884 or email at [email protected] very soon if you do not want the coupon book.

Note: Homeowners that are now paying online will continue unless they change their payment method.

Coyotes:Coyotes are opportunistic feeders (scavengers), birdseed, scraps,

dropped fruit, compost, garbage, rodents and unsupervised small pets are some common food attractants in a residential area. Habituation of coyotes to human activity is directly linked to the availability of food sources, including the intentional and accidental feeding of wildlife. If you have fruit trees, collect the dropped fruit. Secure compost and don’t add meat scraps to compost. Feed your pet indoors and store their food indoors. Wildlife professionals encourage us to NOT feed wildlife. Coyotes are attracted to any yard providing sources of food and prey.

Dogs:There has been a recent increase in the amount of feces noted

around the sidewalks and trails. Please pick up after your dog while walking.

There have been numerous complaints about dogs barking late at night after 1:00AM and around 4:00AM to 6:00AM. If you put your dog outside please monitor them

Roles: Stimulate new advertising accounts in our community newsletters. Maintain current accounts assigned to you by Sales Manager. Service your accounts by assisting them from ad design to final proof approval.

Skills: Excellent communication through email and phone, with high level presentation and relationship-building skills. Strong prospecting and business development skills are a must. Previous sales experience preferred but not required.

The end of the swim season is upon us. We planning to do some minor maintenance around the pool area this winter and it should be in great shape for the spring. Pool keys are also available from the manager for a $10 deposit.

If you see anything in the neighborhood that needs attention or maintenance, please contact Jesse.

The Social committee has begun planning the annual HOA holiday party and are looking for volunteers to help plan, set up & clean up. We are also looking for a volunteer to don a Santa suit for the children in the neighborhood. If we find a volunteer we will post the time he will arrive at the party. If no volunteer is found, unfortunately he will not make a stop at the clubhouse this year.

Last Year the Cat Mountain community donated food items to the Capital Area Food Bank.

This year we are proud to announce that we will be holding our own version of a “Santa Paws” pet drive at our annual holiday party. We will be accepting pet donations to be distributed to numerous animal shelters in the area, as well as to the Bastrop County Animal Shelter for animals displaced in the recent fires. Cat Mountain Tennis (CMT): Now that the weather has cooled down we are still looking for

residents interested in Sunday morning doubles practice. If you are interested in playing, email Andrew Rochstein at

[email protected]. Please include your rating level. If you don’t know your rating,

just indicate if you consider yourself a beginner, intermediate, or advanced player. Each week you’ll receive an email on Wednesday morning to find out who plans on playing that Sunday. On Friday, you’ll receive a confirmation email, let you know who plans to play, and reserve courts. If not enough interest on any given Sunday, we will skip CMT that week. If inclement weather, we will send an email cancellation.

for things like the following:• Coyote sightings or howling – provide an exact street address, so the

trapper can locate them• Reporting trees that have fallen and block roadways or sidewalks, or

those that drag on power lines• Reporting dead animals for pickup; they must be placed at the curb,

though; City personnel are not allowed to enter our yards to gather them• Problems with loose dogs or traffic signals not working• Reporting instances of people feeding deer• And more.

The Cat Mountain Book Club has a new website on Goodreads! You can find out our book selections, all of our club's meeting

dates, books read since the club's inception, book reviews, discussion pages, and much more! It is a real asset for book hounds and will be a good introduction to our club!

Now that the weather has cooled down it is the perfect time of year to enjoy yoga on the patio with resident & certified yogi, Charley Devany!

Charley will be holding classes every Monday evening from 6-7pm on the clubhouse patio.

The classes have been held the past five months and are Bikram style yoga (but not crazy hot, with music and only one hour) and traditional Vinyasa flow and are catered to those who attend. Currently we have eight to nine regulars (age range 29 to 69 with varying skill levels).

-“Yoga is about the students” Charley’s home base is Black Swan Yoga but he has also practiced at

Bikram, BKS Iyengar and several other studios in Austin, NC and NJ.His emphasis is on personal instruction, finding peace on your

mat, improving your breathing and having fun.Although the Cat Mountain group no longer meets at the

Clubhouse Saturday mornings, Charley does lead an 8:30AM class at Doss Elementary.
