6-Port Channelized DS3/1/0 Frame Relay Module for the CBX 500 ® and CBX 3500™ Multiservice Switches The 6-Port Channelized DS3/1/0 DS3/1 Frame Relay I/O Module adds higher density Frame Relay service support to the CBX 500 ® and CBX 3500™ Multiservice Switches. You can use the module’s industry-standard DS3 physical connections and service interfaces to support combinations of DS0, DS1, or fractional DS1 access lines. The module provides the high capacity and fast performance you need to increase subscriber density and scale existing Frame Relay services — enabling you to generate new revenues while reducing service delivery costs. The module’s Multilink Frame Relay (MFR), SVC, QoS, performance monitoring, and ATM to Frame Relay interworking capabilities support a wide range of high-value services that conform to existing service level agreements (SLAs). Applications • Offer higher-density, high-value Frame Relay access services • Deliver customized bandwidth services through MFR • Scale Frame Relay services Features • Distributed processing scales performance with port density • MFR, and fractional DS1 support for highly configurable bandwidth between DS0 and DS3 • Standards-based Frame Relay to ATM interworking • Frame Relay QoS through Priority Frame ® services • Fault tolerance through Priority Routing and Resilient NNI functions • Software-configurable ports support UNI, NNI, SVC, and PVC connections • Broad-based Frame Relay standards support including SLA reporting capability • Optional redundant configuration increases availability Benefits • Increase profitability and reduce service delivery costs with higher subscriber concentrations and customized bandwidth services • Increase scalability and speed performance to expand Frame Relay network services • Reduce operating costs and simplify network management with Navis ® network management software Technical Specifications Description Specifications 1.
