Help Spread Holiday Cheer

Once again the Millridge/MCHI student council will be sponsoring a school-wide service project to help the residents of Front Steps Transitional Housing Inc. (THI), a shelter in Cuyahoga County that offers a safe and secure environment for homeless individuals and families. This year they are most in need of laundry detergent, body wash, and winter hats/gloves (any gender or age). The last day to send in items is Dec. 14th. See our website for more information. Any donations are appreciated.

Clothing Needed!Due to the colder, wet weather, children sometimes fall or slip outside and need a change of clothes. We are in need of clothing for our clinic emergency clothing box. If you have anything your child may have outgrown, (especially sweat suits sizes 3T-14 Girls/Boys), please send it to the school clinic.

Appropriate Winter Attire Please! It’s cold weather time again. Please make sure your child is dressed appropriately to participate in outdoor recess (i.e., coat, hat, gloves, boots, snow pants, etc.). All students are expected to go outside when the temperature is above 20 degrees or the wind chill is above 10 degrees. If a child is not dressed appropriately for the weather, staff reserves the right to have student (s) remain in the building during recess time. Generally, if a child is able to ride the bus and attend school, he or she should also be able to go outside at recess. The only exceptions are: a physician’s written request, a written parent request for the day the child returns to school following an illness, or a request by the teacher or Principal.
