(15) Description

The analogue output module SM332, Al HART 2x0/4 ... 20 mA, Type 6ES7 332-5TBOO-OABO is a pluggable periphery module of the automation system SIMATIC S7 -300 and consists of two input and signal transducer power supply circuits for the connection of certified intrinsically safe signal transducers.

The analogue output module is installad outside the hazardous area or within a hazardous area in which category 3 equipment is required.

Ambient temperature range from 0 oc to +60 °C.

Electrical data

Supply circuit (20-pin front connector): Non intrinsically safe circuit suitable for the connection of electrical equipment with the following data: 20,4 V to 28,8 V; 150 mA; Um = 60 Vdc or 30 Vac (for instance SEL V or PEL V circuit).

Bus circuit (connector at the back): Non intrinsically safe circuit suitable for the connection of electrical equipment with the following data: 5 V; 90 mA; Um = 60 Vdc or 30 Vac (for instance SEL V or PEL V circuit).

Output circuit (terminals 3/4 and 12/13 of the 20-pin connector): in type of protection intrinsic safety Ex ib IIC or Ex ib IIIC with the following maximum values (per channel): Uo= 19 V; 10 = 66 mA; Po= 506 mW; C0 = 230 nF; La= 7,5 mH.

The intrinsically safe input and output circuits are galvanically separated from the non intrinsically safe supply and bus circuits up to the peak voltage of 60 V.

Installation instructions

The instructions provided with the equipment shall be followed in detail to assure safe operation.

(17) Special conditions for safe use

After installation of the analogue output module all applicable separations and connections shall comply with the requirements of EN 60079-11 .

During installation the connection box shall be used or by using a separation wall a minimum distance of 50 mm has to be guaranteed between the intrinsically safe and non-intrinsically safe circuits, or the connection parts shall be additionally insulated.

When installad within the hazardous area in which category 3 equipment is required, the analogue output module shall be installad in a suitable enclosure providing a degree of protection of at least IP54 according to EN 60529 and complying with the requirements of EN 60079-15.

When the temperature under rated conditions at the cable or cable entry point, is higher than 70 oc or when the temperature at the branching point of the conductors is higher than 80 °C, the temperature specification of the selected cable shall match with the actual temperature values.
