It was in the early 1990s that I was deeply concerned about the regional imbalance in the facilities available for Technical Education. No doubt there were quite a few Engineering Colleges in our state and our students were deprived of the fruits of Technical Education. Jind Education Trust laid the foundation of Jind Institute of Engineering & Technology (JIET) in 1998 and

Jind Polytechnic college in 2007 (JPC).

Jind Education Trust is a Non-Profitable Organization which not only provides high quality technical education but also works in the area of socio-economic development of Society. We believe that education builds character, sharpens the intellect and encourages free thinking. We provide opportunities to our students to become innovative and enterprising, ready to face global challenges.

Our Promise is to provide our students the best institute which not only makes them financially independent, but also a dignified and honourable Indian citizen. To provide suitable placement to students college has established a Training & Placement cell, so that, we can fulfil our aim of 100% placement in the corporate world. We organise a number of cultural gathering in the campus time to time. It comprises of cultural fest, aaina-e-JIET annually and Kavi Sammelan, etc. In aaina-e-JIET we conduct different cultural and fine arts competitions and students show their skills through these events. We have amphitheatre with seating capacity of 2500 persons for such events. A multi purpose hall is also available with 400 seating capacity for small events like farewell, fresher parties and exhibitions etc.
