PropertyChalet Juno is an off-plan construction project for a 760m2 luxury alpine property located in the highest part of Verbier called Sonalon.

Chalet Juno can be configured as a four bedroom or as a three bedroom property, all en-suite. The top floor will host the living and dining areas, as well as the kitchen, and would allow for a mezzanine snug under the old wood beams of the vaulted roof. On the lower level, adjacent to the recreational facilities including home cinema, play room and wine cellar, the extensive spa & pool area offers pool, sauna, hammam and massage room. The exterior of the chalet is finished to the highest standards with a mixture of natural stone walls, carefully selected old wood facades, and a slate roof. Interior design can be defined by the buyer. Access to the underground parking garage is granted by a private tunnel.

LocationChalet Juno is located in the Sonalon area of Verbier. This area is perched high above Verbier and has seen some of the most impressive chalet constructions over the last decade and is now considered to be an area of prime real-estate. If you walk up 150 metres it is possible to ski down to Verbier and pick up the rouge to the slopes. It is then possible to ski straight back to the property from the Savoleyres ski area.

Popular with the British and Swedes it has a cosmopolitan mix of visitors, from the wealthy elite to those just looking to make the most out of the skiing in Europe. Verbier’s night life is almost as challenging as the slopes. With runs to suit all abilities, fast lifts and no queues, Verbier deserves its status as one of the best loved resorts in the world.

Getting thereJust 1hour 45mins from Geneva airport, Verbier is easily accessible by motorway most of the way making it a good choice for a long weekend although there is enough skiing to keep you busy for weeks.

WinterVerbier is at the heart of ‘Les 4 Vallées’, the largest linked ski area in Switzerland with over 410km of piste and more than 90 lifts and railways linking the resorts of La Tzoumaz, Nendaz, Veysonnaz, and Les Collons. The resort is something of an expert’s paradise, although beginner and intermediate skiers are also well catered for.

Verbier has some of the best, most extensive and varied off-piste in the world, while the Mont-Fort Glacier, which is the highest point in the resort at 3330m, has a challenging black piste from the summit. From the top, there are fantastic views all the way to the Matterhorn, Grand Combin and Mont Blanc. There are also testing runs down from the summit of Mont Gelé at 3023m.

Verbier’s Swatch Snowpark at 2842m is the venue for Big Air competitions each season, and has jumps and rails for beginner to pro level riders. Even if you’re only there to watch it is still a good place to hang out, with the music and BBQ area adding to the ambience.

Apres-SkiVerbier’s nightlife is legendary and probably the best in Switzerland. The après ski starts in the lively bars below the Medran lift, or with a live band at the Farinet Hotel in the Place Central.

There is a huge selection of restaurants that range from the Michelin star d’Adrien to pizzerias, providing excellent food both on and off the mountain.

The Pub Mont-Fort is always busy in the evenings, while the Farm Club is always a sophisticated and exclusive place to end an evening out. If you want more skiing, ride a snowmobile up to a mountain restaurant and then enjoy a torch lit descent back to town.

Non-skiers can join skiers for lunch in a mountain restaurant with a walkers pass, and there are plenty of activities off the slopes too. The sports centre has a pool, saunas and hot tubs while there are toboggan runs and dog sledding for those looking to enjoy the snow.

SummerVerbier is an incredibly popular dual season resort, with activities and events throughout the summer season. There are 400km of hiking trails, and experienced hikers can follow the tracks of the chamois beneath the snow covered peaks. Horse riders can enjoy a variety of courses and hacks through the local mountains and forests.

With over 200km of trails, Verbier has something to offer every level of mountain biker. Biking guides can be arranged and the local tourist office also runs two free guided bike tours of the area.

For those looking for action the village has a number of take off and landing points for paragliding, along with a number of schools. There are also over fifty rock climbing routes varying in grading from 3 to 7+ in the Val de Bagnes area challenging even the most experienced climbers. Verbier itself has two climbing walls; lessons and guiding can be arranged. In the woods at Medran is suspension rope challenge with over 800 metres of ropes connecting the trees.

GolfThere are two courses in Verbier open from May to November. Beginners and experts can choose between two courses, each with stunning mountain views. The 18-hole (par 69) Esserts course tests your skill and tactics and is a challenge for even the most experienced players, and there is a practice putting green and a driving range where golfers can practive their swing. The 18-hole Moulins course (par 54) is suited to all abilities. Group and private lessons are available and beginners are welcome.
