WHY PARTICIPATE?The MHFA Champion Communities Program can support and strengthen your delivery of Mental Health First Aid training by providing:

• A framework for best practice implementation of Mental Health First Aid training within a community setting

• Helpful resources.

THE ROLE OF LOCAL COUNCILEmbedding Mental Health First Aid training in the community requires local leadership commitment and engagement. The MHFA Champion Communities Program therefore requires:

• MHFA Champion Community applications to be submitted by a Local Council representative.

HOW ARE COMMUNITIES RECOGNISED?MHFA Champion Communities are recognised with:

• An MHFA Champion Community Certificate of Recognition

• An MHFA Champion Community Logo

• Public recognition on the Mental Health First Aid Australia Champion Communities webpage

• Recognition in the Mental Health First Aid Australia Annual Report and possibly appearing across a range of our public communication channels.
