Conditions of Entry

1. FREE ENTRY: Free entry is given to any player who resides interstate and travels to participate in the

Victoria Open with the intention of returning interstate at the completion of the tournament.

2. EQUIPMENT: Plastic 40+ 3 star white balls will be used for all events. XIOM blue tables will be used. NO

WHITE CLOTHING PERMITTED. Tracksuits are not to be worn without the permission of the Referee.

3. RULES: The Tournament will be held under ITTF Regulations & the Current Laws of Table Tennis. ITTF

gluing regulations will apply.

4. COMMITTEE: The Tournament Committee reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to refuse entries by

any player, and if the Tournament Committee exercises this discretion, it will notify the player

accordingly and refund any monies paid.

5. BY-LAWS: This tournament is conducted under TTV By-Law 2 - Member Conduct and Protection. It is a

condition of entry that all players agree to abide by the TTV By-Law and are liable for any breaches.

6. TIME-OUT: Time-Out ONLY applies to events 1 - 7. 7. FORMAT: Events 1 - 7 will be conducted as a round robin format - group winners will go into the main

draw and continue in knock-out format. Events 1 & 2 shall be the best of 7 games (including round robin format). All events shall be best of 5 games.

8. UNAFFILIATED CLUBS: Any registered member who currently plays in pennant or

competition at an unaffiliated body shall be refused entry 9. PARA EVENTS: To enter Para Events, players must have a current national or international physical

disability classification for class 1-10 athletes, or be a member of AUSRAPID for Class 11 (intellectually

disabled) athletes. If you do not have a current classification or membership, contact the Table Tennis

Victoria Office. If sufficient entries, Para events will be separated into classes.

10. EVENT RESTRICTIONS: Players are restricted to entering 3 Doubles events and 2 consecutive Division

Singles events.

11. TIME: The Referee may disqualify any player not ready to play when requested.

12. EVENT CANCELLATION: If insufficient entries are received for any event it may be cancelled or only

awarded a winner’s prize.

13. REFUNDS: No refunds will be allowed to players withdrawing during the tournament.

14. NO SHOWS: Entrants who do not turn up for events after submitting an entry form, or notify the TTV

Office of their withdrawal before the beginning of the event will be invoiced for their entry into the

tournament and pay on the day levy.

15. ELIGIBILITY: If any player enters an event for which they are not eligible or an event they enter is not

held they will be put into another appropriate event (if possible).

16. UMPIRING: Players will be required to umpire when requested by the Referee and/or Tournament

Director.

17. NOTIFICATION: It is the responsibility of players to personally notify Table Tennis Victoria if they are

unable to play in an event. Messages sent via another player are not acceptable. Players must notify

the TTV Office by the Saturday prior to the event at info@tabletennisvic.org.au.

18. FORFEIT: Any player who has withdrawn from an event after the event draw has been completed will

be considered to have forfeited from the event for the purposes of the ranking / points system unless

the withdrawal was as a result of injury or illness. A medical certificate for the illness or injury must be

supplied to the TTV Office as soon as possible after the event so the appropriate consideration can be

given to the circumstances.

19. PAY ON THE DAY LEVY: A levy of $10.00 is payable in addition to entry fees for payments received on

the day of the Tournament.
