A NOTE FROM THE PRINCIPAL Matthew 28:18-20 - And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
There are so many things that we “go” and do each and every day. We go to work, go to school, go to the store, go mow the lawn, go do the dishes, go to lunch, and go home. We are always on the “go”. If you look up the word “go” on dictionary.com, there are 78 definitions listed. You can use the word “go” to describe just about any action that you do each day. In Matthew 28, Jesus came to his disciples and told them to “go” and make disciples of all nations. This command is for us as well. We are also to make disciples as we “go” about our life. Where you “go” and make disciples is going to be different for everyone. It may be in your home, or in your classroom, or in your job, or in another country. What is important is that when we “go” and make disciples, we share the promises that were given to us by Christ in this great commission. It is important that we share the promises that we receive in our baptism, and the promise that Jesus is always with us, even to the end of the age.
