CHARISMA WORKSHOP When many of us think of charisma it is often the extraverts and outgoing personalities that come to mind. Larger than life people like Richard Branson. Or powerful visionaries like Martin Luther King and Nelson Mandela Ghandi was also a man known for his charisma. As with the all the other charismatic people mentioned here, he had a presence, which when he spoke, was able to influence millions and in fact free a nation. It is tempting for us to think that people like this must have been born this way. In reality Ghandi was not a person who wanted the centre stage. He was a very private man, a quiet man - a very real man with faults, fears and shortcomings. So too Mandela and Martin Luther King. Even Richard Branson has confessed to lacking confidence when he had to address people! Like most charismatic people their charisma was shaped by their life experiences. People with Charisma certainly do influence others. Normally in positive ways through their deep interest in others, their ability to listen, their warmth, their appeared confidence , their optimism, their ability to make people feel very special , and through their vision and their presence.People want to be around them Ultimately charisma is the result of excellent communication and interpersonal skills and these skills CAN be learnt. So developing your personal charisma IS possible
