Terminology• The industrial term has lent to misunderstandings; whereas the term

was applied originally to the manufacture, it has spread to many other sectors of services.

• The industrial engineering is narrowly identified also by the management of operations, systems engineering or engineering of manufacture, a distinction that seems to depend on the point of view or motives on the one who uses her.

• In the sector of the care of the health the industrial engineers are known commonly as engineers administrators or engineers in systems of health.
