SOLLY STUDIO—Artists & silversmith

WENDY & KEN SOLLY Ref 1
Ken learnt his Silversmithing skills in the 80”s at TAFE and Summer School. Since then he has had bursts of creativity, until he advertised his tools for sale but Thank goodness they did not sell , as he has had a renewed interest in the craft recently and is thoroughly enjoying it once more. Ken also paints with Acrylics. Ken also enjoyed attending class with Jean Arnold. Wendy has always had an interest in art teaching Primary School Art, painting back drops for theatre productions, even owning an Art Gallery! With the 70’s and 80’s being devoted to an interest in China Painting. Wendy's paintings are eclectic, she has worked with most mediums and feels she is still “a work in progress”! Painting excites her but find she doesn't always devote enough time to it. .

Centre
JANINE KOEFOED (Resident Artist)
This will be the first time the upstairs Private Gallery space will be opened to the public. This space is where Janine displays all her large oils, watercolours and fused glass panels. Having painted all her life Janine has a passion to capture the beauty and fragility of our great country in her pieces. Originally from Tasmania her pieces have a large variation in colour from the cool colours of her place of birth to the rich vibrant colours of the Northern WA, where she spend a lot of time traveling with her husband. In latter years Janine studied many different techniques under some of the best glass artists in the world , this has enabled her to create painting with just the use of glass.

JENI MCCOLL, Artist, Farmer.
I only resumed my Art journey a few years ago. Having
always drawn, but never painted. I now paint with acrylics
and pastels, and thoroughly enjoy it. I live on a family farm
out of York, so I am kept busy with the farm work, and fit in
painting when I can. There are so many wonderful things to
paint around our farm. I get inspiration from the ever
changing landscapes and animals on my farm, and from the
surrounding York countryside. I particularly love the bush,
the colours at different times of the day and year.

29 Bouverie Rd, YORK. Ref 2

working never had the time. Since retiring I have had the
opportunity to peruse my passion for wood carving and the
creation of other rustic wooden pieces further. When creating
these pieces I like to keep the natural shape and look of the
wood. My work is varied and includes signs ,serving platters
and other interesting items. All my pieces are handmade and a
one of a kind in design.

Specializing in quality custom quilts & bespoke handcrafted items, with over 40 years experience. In the 80’s I opened my first shop and have owned and operated several since.
