Matthew 5:27-32• 27""You have heard that it was said, 'You shall

not commit adultery.'" 28"But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart.”

Matthew 5:27-32• 29"If your right eye causes you to sin, tear it out

and throw it away. For it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body be thrown into hell." 30"And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. For it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body go into hell. “

Matthew 5:27-32• 31""It was also said, 'Whoever divorces his

wife, let him give her a certificate of divorce.'" 32"But I say to you that everyone who divorces his wife, except on the ground of sexual immorality, makes her commit adultery. And whoever marries a divorced woman commits adultery. “

• It is not easy, that is why• 10The disciples said to him, "If such is the case

of a man with his wife, it is better not to marry." 【 Matt 19:10 】

• Chastity—the state of being chaste; purity. Abstention from sexual intercourse; virginity or celibacy: a vow of chastity.

• 貞潔—這個字的意思指性上面的純潔 , 婚姻前不能有性關係 , 婚姻後只能夠和你的配偶有性關係 . 很多時候 , 並有守獨身 , 沒有性關係的意思 .

I. Sex ≠ Sin• 28And God blessed them. And God said to them,

"Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth." 【 Gen 1:28 】

• This command is before the fall.

3 Purposes of Sexual Life• 1) procreation (Gen 1:28)• 2) recreation• 8When Isaac had been there a long time,

Abimelech king of the Philistines looked down from a window and saw Isaac caressing his wife Rebekah (Gen 26:8).

3 Purposes of Sexual Life• 3) prevention of fornication• 9But if they cannot control themselves, they

should marry, for it is better to marry than to burn with passion (1 Cor 7:9).

II. One Flesh Relationship• B. Complete Union• 24Therefore a man shall leave his father and his

mother and hold fast (qb;D' dabaq) to his wife, and they shall become one flesh. 【 Gen 2:24 】

• 14Then they lifted up their voices and wept again. And Orpah kissed her mother-in-law,

but Ruth clung to ( qb;D' dabaq) her. 【 Ruth 1:14 】14 兩個兒婦又放聲而哭，俄珥巴與婆婆親嘴而別，只是路得捨不得 ( qb;D' dabaq) 拿俄米。【得 1:14 】

• 16But Ruth said, "Do not urge me to leave you or to return from following you. For where you go I will go, and where you lodge I will lodge. Your people shall be my people, and your God my God. 17Where you die I will die, and there will I be buried. May the Lord do so to me and more also if anything but death parts me from you." 【 Ruth 1:16~17 】

Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing." 【 John 15:5 】

true drink." 56"Whoever feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me, and I in him." 【 John 6:55~56 】

一塊泥，撚一個你，塑一個我，將咱兩個一齊打碎，用水調和；再撚一個你，再塑一個我。我泥中有你，你泥中有我；我與你生同一個衾，死同一個槨。

• D. One flesh relationship ends at death.• 3Accordingly, she will be called an adulteress if

she lives with another man while her husband is alive. But if her husband dies, she is free from that law, and if she marries another man she is not an adulteress. 【 Rom 7:3 】

III. Jesus’ Teaching• 31""It was also said, 'Whoever divorces his wife,

• A. Any 3rd party involvement before death of spouse constitutes adultery.

• B. Avoid adultery in your mind.

Conclusion• Sex is not sin.• One flesh relationship is the blessing in this

meaningless, wind-chasing life.• 9 Enjoy life with your wife, whom you love, all the

days of this meaningless life that God has given you under the sun-- all your meaningless days. For this is your lot in life and in your toilsome labor under the sun. 【 Eccl 9:9 】

Conclusion• Unless God calls you to celibacy,• Find a spouse to love as bone of your bone,

flesh of your flesh, to enjoy the one flesh relationship.
