DIRECTIONS

Chesterton Farm is situated on the south western edge of the town of Cirencester in Gloucestershire. The postcode is GL7 6JP to which Sat Nav will take you. If approaching from Stroud (A417), Tetbury (A433) or Malmesbury (A429), on arriving at Cirencester, go over the first roundabout as if for Cirencester town centre. On reaching the second roundabout at the bottom of the hill, retrace your steps taking the 4th exit. At the top of the hill, shortly before the next roundabout, take the turning left into Chesterton Lane, signposted Roman Amphitheatre. Take the second turning right into Cranham Lane, signposted to Chesterton Farm and Shop. Continue for 1/3 mile and turn right, signposted to Chesterton Farm.

If approaching by all other routes, take the Cirencester ring road and follow the signs for the South West / A433. On leaving the town, take the turning left, signed “Roman Amphitheatre” immediately before reaching the Stroud Road roundabout, and then follow the directions as above.

INTRODUCTION TO SALE

The sale is being conducted on behalf of Messrs N & E Jenner at the end of Nick Jenner’s tenancy over Chesterton Farm. He is the third generation of his Family to hold a tenancy on Chesterton Farm. The hold-ing is now primarily an arable farming unit of 500 acres. Until 2015, there was also a dairy unit on the holding and some of the dairy followers were retained.

The sale comprises nearly all of the farm equipment, which is to be sold without reserve.

SALE NOTES

Viewing: Tuesday, 5th September 2017, 2:00pm to 5:00pm., and on the morning of the sale.

Conditions: The sale will be conducted subject to the CAAV Model Machinery Conditions of Sale which are shown in full on our website and will be available at the sale office. All prospective buyers should ensure that they have read and understood those Conditions. The act of bidding will be taken as acceptance of them.

Registration: All bidders will require a bidding number. Regular customers will be issued with a bidding number prior the sale, which will remain current for all remaining outside sales in 2017. Alternatively, please register your details prior to the sale at this office or at the registration desk at the sale field.

Payment: All lots become the sole risk of the buyer at the fall of the hammer. The property in a lot purchased shall not pass to the buyer or be removed from the sale field until payment has been made for the full purchase price to the Auctioneers. All lots must be paid for on the day of the sale. Buyers unknown to the Auctioneers wishing to pay by cheque must supply a written bank reference for a sum equal to or in excess of the total invoice. The reference must specify the sale date and the amount up to which their cheque will be honoured. The Auctioneers will not accept payment of cash in excess of £8,000. Card facilities will be available sub-ject to conditions. Payment can be made by most types of credit and debit card. Payment made by credit card is subject to a 3% charge but debit cards incur no extra charge.

VAT: All lots will be sold subject to VAT unless announced at the time of sale.

Buyer’s Premium: There will be NO Buyer’s Premium charged.
