An Experiment to find out the melting point of chocolate 1. Put some hot water (at no more than 50˚C) into the beaker. 2. Place a few small pieces of chocolate into a boiling tube and put in a thermometer. 3. Take the temperature of the chocolate, then put the boiling tube into the hot water and start the timer. 4. Stir continuously with the thermometer and record the temperature of the chocolate every 15 seconds for five mins 6. Draw a line graph of you results and use them to decide the melting point of the samples. (hint when the temperature stays the same for a while this is the melting point) Some hints for drawing your graph... Time goes along the bottom

Do not draw a bar chart. You will need to add a best fit line. Do not join the dots up with lots of little lines, just draw one long line that shows the pattern, it may not go through all the points.
