NOW HIRING—TWO POSITIONS

The 2017 Northwest Catholic Collection has concluded and I’m pleased to report that our archdiocese raised a total of $165,118.79. Northwest Catholic’s mission is to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ and to teach, inspire and form disciples who know the Lord and live their faith to the fullest. The Northwest Catholic is sent without direct cost to every registered Catholic household in Western Washington. This is possible only through the generosity of Western Washington parishioners. Thank you for your successful efforts in supporting this important collection. Steve Homiack, Director of Parish Stewardship, Archdiocese of Seattle

Hope and Healing After Abortion

“I had not looked at a crucifix in 15 years. I knew I was condemned and I was ashamed to look into His eyes.

I am still in awe of that moment my eyes met His merciful and loving gaze. I can make it now because I know I am

loved.” -Retreat Testimonial

Come on a Rachel’s Vineyard™ Retreat and see what it feels like to lay down a very heavy burden.

NORTH SEATTLE DEANERY YOUTH MINISTER

National NFP Awareness Week: JULY 23 - JULY 29, 2017

2017 theme:

It's Time!

Say "Yes" to God's Plan

for Married Love

"Celebrate and reverence God's vision of human sexuality." The dates of Natural Family Planning Awareness Week highlight the

anniversary of the papal encyclical Humanae Vitae (July 25) which

articulates Catholic beliefs about human sexuality, conjugal love

and responsible parenthood. The dates also mark the feast of

Saints Joachim and Anne (July 26), the parents of the Blessed

Mother.

We welcome our new North Seattle Deanery Youth Minister Kate Brown. She comes to us from the state of Indiana. Her office will be at St. Benedict Parish. She will be visiting the participating parishes soon. She plans to be at our Vacation Bible School to meet the youth who are helping there. Her first day in her office was July 10th. Thank you to all the adult leaders from our parishes who have been working on this project and have brought it to completion. The final interview took place in our own Brannon Hall recently.
