• Christian Atheists: People who believe in God, but live as if He doesn’t exist

• When you believe in God, but don’t really know Him– Psalm 9:10 - And they that know thy name

will put their trust in thee: for thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.

– Intimacy or lack of it• What you call me reveals how well you know

me• How you refer to Him

– As you get to know Jesus better, you will change

• When you believe in God, but not in prayer– Reasons for Christian Atheists not to

pray• Feeling like we are not good enough to pray• Being bored when pray• Not wanting to bother God with small

requests• Not thinking that our prayer would make a

difference

• Honest: – Habakkuk 1: 2 O LORD, how long shall I cry, and

thou wilt not hear! even cry out unto thee of violence, and thou wilt not save!

–   3 Why dost thou shew me iniquity, and cause me to behold grievance? for spoiling and violence are before me: and there are that raise up strife and contention.

• Pray without ceasing– I Thessalonians 5: 17 Pray without ceasing. –  18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in

Christ Jesus concerning you.

• Philippians 4:6 - Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

– Worry is the sin of distrusting God’s promises and power• II Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the

spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

– Worry is the control issue.• Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all thine

heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
