Columbus went to King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella to ask for money

• The Santa Maria was his largest ship

Taino (Native People)• Columbus met the native people and

called them Indians because he thought he was in the Indies (Asia)

Letters back to Spain• Columbus wrote letter stating how the Indians

were generous and could be convert to Christians but also stating how they could be slave

Back to Europe• Christopher Columbus brought back gold and

treasure and also some Taino Indians back to Spain

Columbus later voyages• Columbus made 3 more trips to the New

World

Death• Columbus died still thinking that he had reach

the Indies (Asia). His discovery changed the world.
