STUDENT INSTRUCTIONS
PBL group work (usual rules apply) each group allocated a condition Find out additional information that travellers will need when travelling with the chronic
condition. Assume that the traveller will already have been provided with standard travel
advice.
Task 1 - Design an A4 size patient information leaflet (PIL)
The leaflet can be printed on both sides of the A4 sheet and can be designed to be folded.Have a look at some PILs displayed in pharmacies and you can use this website and its
references for guidance and further information on design and use of languagehttp://fms-itskills.ncl.ac.uk/howto/infoleaflet.html
Task 2 Prepare a 15 minute group presentation; be prepared to answer questions; be prepared to
assess your audiences learning.
Imagine that you are running a lunch-time training session for colleagues who run a travelclinic. You are providing them with the information they need to advise on your allocated
chronic condition. (The imaginary colleagues will be the other Travel Health students.)
Decide on key learning points and ensure that your audience have understood and learntthese points as part of your presentation.
