WE are now in the fourth week of the discipleship course. So far the attendance have been encouraging . As a church we are called to make disciples, but we are focused more on making coverts and this needs to be balanced. We all need to dump our spiritual baggages so that we can know the truth and walk in freedom and bare fruits.

YIELDINGTO THE HOLY SPIRIT

As we focus on our theme for the month of MarchGrowing Quality Christians,

we want to examine what happens when a person yields to the Holy Spirit.

God will lead us by His Spirit. If we are willing to do what he chooses for us to do -

we shall then have the mind of Christ and start to think the way God thinks.

Our Father God is interested not only in our spiritual birth,

but in our spiritual maturity. God has given to each believer the gift of the

Holy Spirit that we might become quality Christians and mature children of God.

ScripTure reading Nehemiah 1 : 1-11

ehemiah was concerned that the walls of Jerusalem were broken down and destroyed with fire and so he brought the matter before God in prayer.

In the midst of everything Nehemiah knew that God was ‘awesome’ and had the power to do something about the situation. While doing his job as king’s cupbearer, Nehemiah became a prayer warrior and prayed for the need of God’s people as a result, God supernaturally opened a door for Nehemiah by giving him favour with the king. He got this favour because he was faith-ful in prayer, and God also provided him with the finance and authority to do the job.

There is no problem you are facing that favour can not turn aroundThroughout the Bible you will see that by favour many have won battles, many became heroes. That favour will open ever door that has been closed against you this yearFavour will remove all obstacles on your way and bring you success where oth-ers have failed.

In line with (Lamentations 3:23) Lord renew your mercy favour and grace upon my life this year.

In (Is a. 38 v 1-6) Hezekiah was suffer-ing from a life threatening illness and Isaiah the prophet had actually told him he was going to die.

Instead of panicking and giving up all hope Hezekiah turned to God in prayer and asked God to head him. As a re-sult Isaiah received a fresh word from the Lord for Hezekiah that he would live another 15 years. That is favour of God for healing.
