Holiday Greetings to all our precious people across the great State

of Florida. From Thanksgiving to New Year is a very special time

for people everywhere, but especially to Christians.

We celebrate Thanksgiving because of our history and the gratitude

experienced by early American settlers. !They faced unbelievable

odds just trying to survive and would not have done so had it not

been for the generous efforts of Native Americans.

As Christians, we celebrate the birth of Christ on December 25. !

This is our Christmas Holiday. !We celebrate the spirit of giving

personified in our Lord’s words and recorded in St John Chapter 3

and verse 16, where it says,!

16For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten

Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but

have everlasting life. 17For God sent not His Son into the

world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him

might be

saved. 18He that believeth on Him is not condemned...

This is probably one of the most revealing passages in the Bible. !

The very heart of God is revealed. !His mercy, His love, and His

CHURCH OF GOD OF PROPHECY FLORIDA STATE OFFICE! DECEMBER 2011 - FEBRUARY 2012

I do realize, that in many cultures, the Christmas holiday is

celebrated with ceremonies that in no way reflect the generosity and

love of our Heavenly Father and His great gift.

But we must not let ourselves become captive of such ungrateful

behavior. !God is still our Father. !Jesus still came and died that we

might live. !And even though we are here today, over!2,000 years

removed from the birth of Christ, in a world given to wantonness

and ingratitude, we, as children of God can be numbered among

those that not only still feel the true meaning of Christmas, but still

worship God and feel an immense gratitude for the hope and

salvation He provided through His great gift.

We can celebrate the true meaning of this very special holiday. !

Look for someone that's helpless. !Try and find someone that can

never do anything for you in return and reach out to them. !Give

from your heart to others expecting, rather hoping for, nothing in

return.

In Matthew the 25th chapter, Jesus says, "In as much as ye have

done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done

it unto me". !In a very real sense, we have an opportunity to give to

our Lord this Christmas. !

As hard as it may be to believe, this is actually how He actually

views the kindnesses extended from those with a grateful heart. !

Just think about it; When you give, when you help, or when you love

others, you are sending gifts straight to the Son, the Son of God.

Bring Christ back into your family celebrations. !Take some time

and share with your family and those you love, the true meaning of

this very special day. !You will only enrich your life, the life of your

family and the lives of all those around you.

CULTIVATE WOMEN’S MINISTRIES

!

!

Thank you for such an amazing year in Women’s Ministry. God has blessed us and

amazed us with His presence and in His spirit. We were honored to have two

awesome Cultivate Conferences and WOW what a time we had. God has richly

blessed me with some gifted people to help bring the Vision of Women’s Ministry to

fruition. I want to thank each one that worked so fervently to make these conferences

successful.

I would also like to thank all of you who attended , for with out your support there

would be no one to lavish the ministry upon. God has been so good to me, and I love

Him.

Also, Ladies of this Great State of Florida, thank you for every invitation to attend

your local and district wide ladies events, they were awesome. I gleaned from all of

you, and what an experience I had, it was food for my soul. Some of the things I

learned were life changing for me. I appreciate what you sow into my life.

Also I want to thank our state Overseer for his great support of Women’s Ministry,

and the state staff for their kindness in helping in everyway that they can.

As we approach the Holiday Season, (my favorite time of the year) I pray for Gods

abundant blessings on your thanksgiving, a Christmas filled to overflowing with

“His Presence” and A New Year of amazing supernatural experience.

He that shall come, will come and will not tarry!

Greetings Florida Youths,

Have you taken on the challenge to A rise and Pursue Fresh Fire? Throughout our travels across the State, it is evident that the

hand of God is moving. Our prayer is that you stay in prayer and seek the Lord. We trust that as the Holy Spirit moves on you, you

will move forward.

Local Church/District Visits

The Elijah Generation- District 1 Youth Ministry held its 2011 Conference with the Theme “I Surrender”. I was delighted to be a part

of this conference. Thank God for the young people who surrendered their lives to the Lord.

We were blessed to be with Bishop and Sister Daniels at the Sanford (9th

Street) COGOP on September 2-4, for their youth revival.

Thank God for the young people responding to the word. We especially want to thank the Daniels for their hospitality, we were treated

royally. We pray continued blessings on Bishop and Sister Daniels and the Sanford church family. A big thank you to Bishop Harris,

Amy Quesinberry (Region 2 Youth Director) and the youths from Oviedo COGOP for coming and worshipping with us. We would

also like to honor Amy & her youths for their “car wash” fundraiser to help feed the hungry. We were delighted to support their

efforts!

It was a pleasure to visit the Love Fellowship’s (Opa Locka COGOP) God Seekers Youth Encounter on September 21, 2011. The

Theme was No Turning Back. Indeed, we’re not going back, we’re moving forward!

Word of Encouragement: I want to encourage you to continue following God and stay focused on His love for us. Paul puts it well in Ephesians 5:1-2

Apopka, Pastor Alex Lazo What wonderful things God is doing for our church! We continue to receive His blessings and bless our community. In August, our teen group - “R.A.C.K.” went on a camping trip to Jetty Park. The youth had a wonderful time fellowshipping with each other as well as enjoying various outdoor activities. We had our “Back To School Bash”, where we raised money by selling spaghetti dinners for school supplies. The kids had fun selling tickets and everyone had a great time fellowshipping. Our “Bread of Grace” Ministry blessed 53 families. In September, we celebrated “Grandparents Day” with a special service. There was special readings and singing. Each Grandparent was presented with a special gift. We welcomed “The Reflectsons” for a spirit filled gospel sing. It was a blessing to all who attended. We began our “Monthly Fellowship Night” and had an amazing turnout! We played games, fellowshipped and enjoyed the time together. Our “Bread of Grace” Ministry blessed 61 families. In October, we had an “Old Fashioned Day” with a dinner on the grounds. We played lots of games, had a hay ride, and much more. Also this month was “Pastor Appreciation”. We blessed our Pastor with cleaning supplies, groceries, gifts, and more. Members took turns taking the Pastor and his Wife to dinner while other took turns watching their kids. Our “Bread of Grace” Ministry blessed 61 families; we also lead 5 to the Lord.

Bokeelia, Pastor Allene TophamAs we come to the end of a very hot summer, we have so much to be thankful for. God gave us strength to continue having the chicken dinners which the public enjoys. The people see and notice and hear. We have the opportunity to be a witness to them. We are small in attendance in church service in the summers, but God is always with us. People that don’t come to church are calling asking us to pray for members of their family that are in need. Later, they call, telling us that prayers have been answered. What a mighty God!

Jacksonville 21st ST, Pastor Raymond DavisCongratulations to Bishop Raymond E. Davis as our newly appointed District Overseer! Two Cancer Awareness Programs were presented by Sister(s) Lemons and Edwards. We are Blessed to have these survivors in our local Church. Information packets were provided for both men and women and we had several special guests come in and share their testimonies. Pastor Appreciation: We began our celebration the

week beginning October 20 to the week of October 30th, with each care group creatively expressing their appreciation. We carried our Pastor and his wife out to dinner, treated them with various gift cards, and a fish fry in one of the members home. Care Group # 3 took Bro. & Sis. Davis on a brief “Country Ride” and dinner. The seven day “Surprise Gift Basket” kept them guessing what the next days’ surprise would be. Note: we are not sure who enjoyed it most (Bro. or Sis. Davis). We had a special program with visiting ministers. On Sunday November 6, we presented them with a love offering during the Sunday morning worship service following a special dinner in the fellowship hall. Bro. & Sis. Rouse hosted the “Gospel Fall Festival” on Nov.12th. Our Praise Team, Expression, BOYZ of Praise and various local Gospel Groups participated. We will have a special program honoring Black History Month on Sunday morning, February 12, 2012.

Miami Centerville, Pastor Vincent RamsayI am happy to report that Centerville is still on the move for God. On August 13, 2011, a Back-To-School give away under the leadership of Minister Lilieth Palmer, our Sunday School Superintendent, was held at our local church. We were blessed to give into our community approximately 100 school bags and school supplies. Our annual banquet was held on September 24, 2011 with many in attendance. The performances, especially a puppet show and a parade of hats, captivated the audience. These were put on by our First Lady and Bro. Valentine Bolus, a new member. We were blessed to attend the Ladies Hideaway, which was held at The Higher Praise and Worship Center in South Miami, under the leadership of Pastor Pansy Graham. Our spirits were lifted, we had a wonderful time in the Lord. Three nights of Mission Crusade was held on October 10-12, 2011. Our speaker was Minister Ethel Williams from the Miami #1 Church. They partnered with us, and though none got saved, we had a wonderful time in the Lord. Our topic was Praise, Prayer and Power. We are thanking God for two members who were also added to the church. We had our Pastor’s Appreciation Service on October 16, 2011, with each auxiliary presenting to our Bishop and First Lady their presentation of gifts and speeches. They were also blessed with a wonderful dinner presented “banquet style” in their honor. Everything was appreciated by them. One of our Pastor Boosters, Sister Viris Pinnock, was hit by a car on the Monday following our appreciation, while she was on her way home from work. She suffered a broken leg. Please pray for her speedy recovery.

Miami Perrine, Pastor Rosa McIntoshThe Center of Hope Church of God of Prophecy is pleased to share with you our church events that were supported by the church family and the community.

On August 20, 2011, the Men’s Department held a Community Health and Fun Day that featured different companies and organizations such as Baptist Hospital, YWCA, the State Attorney’s Office, the Fire Department, the Community Blood Center (where some people voluntarily donated blood to help with needs of unhealthy individuals), the Aflac Insurance Company, South Florida S.M.P. Outreach Center (where elderly people can receive information for their medical needs), Unity Center (helping individuals with debilitating diseases and also drug addicts) and Open House Health Center. It was greatly supported by the community and church family as we all gather together playing games, sports, cooking and at the same time giving encouraging thoughts of hope and faith to unbelievers to come to church and surrender their lives to God.

Sunday October 29, 2011, we celebrated our Annual Pastor’s Appreciation Service. This was a spectacular event that was well attended by church members and their families, friends and well wishers. This was an evening of gratitude and thanksgiving as we celebrate the commitment, dedication and ministry that our Pastor and Associate Pastor (Pastor Rosa McIntosh and Pastor Keturah Lewis respectively) have rendered. The Youth Department, Men’s Ministry and other churches showed their gratitude in songs, poems and heartfelt words of encouragement to help them as they journey on to the next level of leadership, vision and ministry that God has led and called them to do.

November is known to be the month of harvest. We held a Fruit of the Spirit Program in which each family within the church body were given a fruit to research about the origin, cultivation and different health benefits that each fruit has. Each family was asked to wear the color of the fruit they were presenting. The church was immaculately decorated with assorted rays of colors and designs by some of our dedicated members. As we listen to each family present their fruit through songs, poems and other expression of thoughts, we learn about so many fruits that everyone marveled at how useful each fruits are internally as well as externally. It was a memorable night that might be considered for future encores.

We have come this far by faith leaning on the Lord. There is nothing impossible with God. All these events have drawn everyone closer to each other and most importantly closer to God. Our hearts desire is to continue serving and trusting God in Spirit and in truth and to be led by God’s ever loving, sweet Holy Spirit because without him we are nothing. We are determined to continue winning souls and encouraging the hearts of the lost and lonely.

We are forever thankful and grateful for this opportunity to share our events with you. May his peace be with you, till we meet again. God bless you all.

Miami Ridgeway, Pastor Eustace ClarkAn "Old Fashion" Mission Program was held on September 11. Participants wore "old fashion" clothes, played old fashion instruments (scrub boards, pans), sang old fashion songs and enjoyed the old fashion Holy

Sprit, which is the same "yesterday, today, and forever." Our "World Mission Month" consisted of prayer in the homes of those who were in need of healing, deliverance, and provisions. An in-depth bible study of the 23rd Psalms has just been completed with new 'food for thought.' The youth auxiliary won the trophy for most funds raised for the quarter. Vacation Bible School was held under the main theme of "Sea Expedition" and the sub-theme of "Exploring the Mighty Love of God." There was a 45-64 daily attendance. One new member has been added to the church. Bro. Erick Pigatt has been sent forth as a Lay Minister. We just completed a month-long "Pastor and First Lady" appreciation program under the direction of newly appointed Pastoral Committee chairperson, Kathy Sagesse. Each session was most enjoyable as each auxiliary leader made presentations on their assigned "Fruit of the Spirit." The theme "Reflection of the Holy Spirit in you... Through the Fruit of the Spirit" was encouraging and enlightening to the honorees as well as the attendees. Members and special groups carried out personal acts of appreciation. The church presented the honorees with a trip to Key West including a massage and fishing excursion.

Niceville, Pastor William C. NesterWe have been reaching out to the community through Helping Hands Bag Suppers. The last Friday of the month we give out Brown-Bag Suppers, Bibles and have a sign asking if they need prayer. This has been a blessing to us and the community. We were able to pray with three people on the street corner. We are beginning work on our extra building to become a “soup” ministry and more. Please support us any way you can especially with your prayers. Bro. and Sis. Nester enjoyed many different ways of appreciation in October. We ended Sunday with a wonderful dinner and all but one (he didn’t know) wore a T-shirt stating “I Love My Pastor” & “First Lady”. They had a great time! We have been in a Bible study, learning ways to witness better. We are very excited about winning souls for God! Please keep us in your prayers as we reach into different areas for God.

Ocoee, Pastor Ronald BatesIn August we had seven to be baptized and a four night revival with Kay Osban. Sister Kay was a real blessing to our church. In September we had the Duncan Family from Cleveland, TN come and sing for us. Our Mission director, Ruth Mullings, honored our Senior Citizens with a dinner after Sunday morning worship and there she presented them with gifts. In October, our Ladies Day was a great success with Esther Hays as the director. Our theme was, “REFLECTIONS” and special guest speaker Elaine Love, State Women’s director. We were blessed with about 55 ladies in attendance. A dinner was held and we honored our pastor and his wife for Pastor’s Appreciation, Sister Bates’ birthday. We also said good by to Sister Delcie Timson who after twenty years in Ocoee is moving to Jacksonville to live with her daughter. She is going to be greatly missed. We presented our Pastor and wife with a check for over $600.00 that evening to let them know how much they are loved. Our Fall Festival was held the last Saturday of the month and it was a great success as always. Charles & Dorothy Butts always allow the church to come to their house that is on a lake and we have fun with tons of food, games, hayride and fellowship. This was the largest crowd we have ever had with about 145 in attendance. We have moved and then remodeled the Pastor’s office. It is so nice and he really enjoys his new place to study and pray. Thanks to all the men who labored so hard. We praise God for the delivering a young man at our church from Hepatitis C. What a miracle. God is blessing in Ocoee and He is not finished yet!

Oviedo, Pastor Nyle VernonThe Oviedo All Nations Church is Thanking God for his Holy and Divine Presence. Our Praise Dance Team has expanded and tripled in size! August 8, 2011 we had our 2nd Annual Back-To-School $5 Hair Cut Day to help out families in the surrounding area with children headed back to school, over 60 Hair Cuts took place between 3 dedicated volunteers from Lookin Good Hair in Longwood, Fl and it brought in $375.00. On Sept. 2, 2011, 14 Youth and Parents from Oviedo went out to support the 700 E. 9th St. Sanford, Fl Church Revival where the State Youth Director Joshua Caley delivered the word and the youth filled the alters - Lord you are so Good! Silent Auction what a fabulous time in the Lord over $1000.00 was brought in from the Fish Fry alone. Oct 30, 2011 our Beloved Pastor Nyle and Trish Vernon were honored with Pastor Appreciation Day celebrating their 10 years in Oviedo (a special song, praise dance, a youth candle lighting, children’s what is a Pastor and poster display, worshiping going over Jordan, touching testimonies of the presence of Gods Love in Oviedo and a mighty feast was prepared) all to the Glory of God and his chosen Servants. – To our Pastors May God Renew your Strength Day by Day and pour out a Blessing upon your family, we love you and thank you for giving to the Lord. Oviedo is Marching Forward! God Bless.

Riviera Beach, Pastor Barbara LynnOur pastor introduced an idea to the church on how to get people to be on time for Sunday School. For every minute you're late you have to pay 50 cents. It really has given the people incentive to be on time plus we raised a little money for church expenses. Pastor Appreciation Month was great. The Lynn Family received many cards, flowers, gift cards, balloons and $900 love offering. We want to thank the church for all the prayers in Bro. Frankie's behalf while he was in the hospital. He's home now and doing well. To God be the Glory!

Tampa Hyde Park, Pastor Dwight BakerThe Lord has truly been blessing the Church at Tampa Hyde Park. We have concluded our Pastor and Family Appreciation month. Our pastor, Brother Dwight Baker, was the guest speaker at the Hollywood Church of God of Prophecy during the 5th Sunday morning worship service honoring their pastor. Pastor David Roberts, his wife Gia and their two wonderful sons were celebrated. The entire Tampa Hyde Park congregation attended after chartering a bus that could accommodate all of the members that desired to attend.

The week before on October 23rd, Sister Lallye Forbes from Tallahassee was the guest speaker to culminate the Pastor and Family appreciation at Tampa Hyde Park. Pastor Baker and his family; his wife Lori and two daughters Jazmine and Ayanna, have celebrated six years with us. We sincerely love and appreciate the Lord sending Pastor Baker as our shepherd, and continue to pray for him and his family.

And finally we thank the Lord for his protecting arms around one of our dear sisters, Lyonelle DeVeaux. Sis. DeVeaux, a Hillsborough County Sherriff, was shot in a virtual ambush while responding to a domestic call. As reported in several news stories, Sis. DeVeaux was hit three times; twice in the leg, and once in the shoulder. The bullet that ended up at her should actually went through her side just above her bullet-proof vest, ricocheted off her rib, and ended up at the back of her shoulder. Additionally, we learned that the man who shot Sis DeVeaux served two tours in Iraq and one in Afghanistan, so he knew how to handle and shoot the large caliber weapon that was used. He shot at her 12 times, at point blank range. Even though three bullets hit her, none of them killed her. God is sho’ nuff good!

There is much more that could be shared, but there is not enough room. Sis. DeVeaux is recovering wonderfully, and has a warm smile for you when you greet her. She, as well as the rest of us, continues to give the Lord the praise. He just keeps proving himself over and over again. Trust Him in all circumstances you face, and he will see you through!

Winter Garden Southside, Pastor J. V. Sullivan In August, VBS was a success. The theme was "Pandamania--Where God is Wild About You!" The youth had several fundraisers. They raised money on their own which enabled them to attend Disney's "Night of Joy." In September, special guests, the Duncans from Tennessee, ministered in music & the Word on a Sunday morning. The youth had a lock-in. In October, 175 attended our church picnic entitled "Dinner on the Grounds" sponsored by Family Ministries Directors, Joe & Heather Dotson. Bishop Robert & Maryann Davis joined us along with several guests from out of state. Special guest speaker was State Evangelist, Kay Osban, ministering in song, humor, & the Word. Pastor J.V. & Carletta Sullivan were honored during Pastor Appreciation Month. Each ministry presented Pastor with a gift -- a gas card, gift card to his favorite restaurant, taken out to a ladies' breakfast at Mimi's in Winter Garden, & the list goes on. He was also presented with a love offering on the day of our picnic. We are giving God praise for the healing of Jerry Zinn from cancer. God is doing great things in our church!
