HELP CATHOLICS COME HOME Do you know someone who was baptized Catholic but has stopped attending Mass, is questioning the faith, or hasn’t found a parish home? Why not help your
friend to come home? Perhaps you can act as a resource or offer to attend Mass together. If you aren’t sure how to help, ask your priest for advice.

LENTEN REFLECTIONS…. We are often people “on the go”! This brief Season of Lent can “pass us by” without us even realizing it! Here are several sites for your computers or smart phones to keep you attuned to God in the midst of this Lenten Season. Please check them out and sign up for these wonderful reflections!
Formed.org (our parish code is 7W63HT) DynamicCatholic.com (sign up for the Best
Lent Ever) Wordonfire.org (Sign up for Bishop Robert
Barron’s Lenten Series) ******************************* AGING GRACEFULLY CONFERENCE
Please join us for this year’s Aging Gracefully in the Lord Program. Our next conference will be Wednesday, February 27th at 9:30 am in the Nielsen Room in the Lower
Church Hall. Our topic for this conference will be: “Having Faith”.
MARCH 10TH – 13TH
Set aside Sunday evening, March 10th through Wednesday night, March 13th for a mission being held in our parish. Catholic Lay Missionary and Evangelist, Bill Wegner, from Good News International will be leading this year’s mission.
It will be a special time of renewal for our entire community. This is an extraordinary opportunity for each of us to be lead into a deeper renewal of our faith and into a fuller transformation of our spiritual life. Everyone will leave the mission with a more profound and very personal relationship with the Lord. The Mission Hour at Resurrection will begin promptly at 7:15 pm. All morning sessions, Monday through Wednesday, will begin at 9:30 am to 10:30 am. *******************************
BOOK CLUB All are invited to the Book Club on 2/21/19 Thursday evening 7:30-8:30. The group meets monthly in the Resurrection Middle School Library. February’s book is the second half of “Jesus and the Jewish Roots of Mary” by Brant Pitre. If you have any questions, please contact Ed Matthews at [email protected] or (914) 967-3149.
SIXTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME February 17, 2019
We are so familiar with the Sermon on the Mount, and the beatitudes of St. Matthew. They summarize the entire message of Jesus and provide the pattern for a healthy examination of conscience. Today we meet St. Luke’s teaching, the Sermon
on the Plain, addressed to the disciples and to us. Instead of eight positive directives, we are given four, and then four warnings to help us move from the now to the promised reward. How helpful for us to fix our eyes on what the Lord has in store for us, to make us less complacent, eager to
‘rejoice and leap for joy on that day!’ We know well the obstacles, barriers and challenges of the Christian life. St. Ignatius asks us to discern both the positive and negative to help us make good decisions. *******************************
UNDERSTANDING THE MASS
Come and take a Lenten Journey to better understand the Mass and be transformed by this intimate encounter with Jesus! This DVD series by Bishop Robert Barron will be held on all the Friday mornings of Lent prior to Holy Week, Friday’s March 8th, 22nd, 29th, April 5th, 12th (no session March 15th). Sr. Danielle will be facilitating this program at 9:30AM in the Lower Church Hall’s Nielsen Room. See you there!
GOLDEN JUBILEE MASS
