Facilities of The Campus

Cihan University Facilities is dedicated to supporting the core educational and research missions of the University by maintaining a safe, beautiful, and functional campus environment. Doing so is no small task, and in this section you can learn about all of the types of skills and personnel that go into maintaining Cihan's campus and other University physical assets.

Field of the Science

The goal of the university is to move the classroom into the field and to teach using real examples in a hands-on learning environment supported with the most up-to-date of science. All scientific courses are modified yearly.

Student Activities

The soccer pitch field is immediate eye catchers to anyone who enters the campus. The Sports Centre is located at the backside of the campus. Competition matches are played on weekends.

Campus Cafeteria

The University cafeteria is located on the ground floor of the Faculty of Administration and

Financial Science and also the West block building can be used for an early breakfast, a

quick snack between classes

or for lunch and dinner.

The cafeteria is also used

by students who want to

socialize with friends

and classmates.

University Facilities

Computer Labs Computer labs include Windows systems, laser printers, a variety of current software, and high-speed connections to the Internet.

Additional resources in select computer labs include flatbed scanners; audio, video, and image editing software; and web and print publishing. Some computer labs are also designed for group collaboration.

Class Rooms The classroom attempts to provide a space where learning can take place uninterrupted by outside distractions. Academic staff aim to provide the students with technology in classrooms and learning spaces on campus that is flexible, easy to use, and reliable.

Library The library was established in 2011 along with the University. The Library is located at the backside of the university beside the registration office.

Architectural Engineering Dept.

Department of Architectural Engineering is one of the important departments at Cihan

University/Sulaimaniya. It established in 2015. It is concerned with theoretical and practical

methods of processing urban, architectural interior, and landscape design. The period of

study at the Department is five years. Graduates are awarded the degree of the Bachelor of

architectural engineering. Our department continues to stress on the quality of education,

and Faculty Members. The department has a qualified academic staff in most important

areas in architecture. Modern laboratories, studios, ateliers and classrooms are well

equipped.

Department of Architectural Engineering looks forward to qualifying graduates who

are supposed to serve faithfully the local society and humanity. Graduates of this department

are efficient to continue their study to get higher education in the different fields of

Architectural Engineering, such as theory and history of architecture, design process and

design methodology, building types, and a many other fields.

The department plans are to enhance the qualification of the graduate students and

form a base of innovators and specialists in the field of Architectural Engineering. These

specialists will have a great deal of knowledge, skills and practice in the fields of design,

local architecture and all applications related to the field of architecture. This will qualified

them either to work into the local or international market or to continue their postgraduate

study.

Law Department

The establishment of the department of law at Cihan university/Sulaimaniya coincided

with the establishment of the university itself in 2011. IT has included a department of law

for both the morning and evening studies. The period of time required for the study in the

college is five years, after which the graduate ids awarded bachelors certificate in law and

international relations. In order to provide the society with highly-qualified graduates to

work in the field of law, whether they will be lawyers, investigators, judges, or any other

role in the justiciary and legal spheres.

The department of law looks forward to assuming a high and well-established position

among the colleges of right and departments of law in the universities of the world, and in

order to be one of the most important sources of science and legal knowledge, whether in

the Kurdistan region or in Iraq, so as to take part in preparing new generations capable of

protecting justice and developing the legal thought.

Based on the pioneering role to be played by the department of law ,for which the

department was established , the department of law is obliged to continually develop the

teaching process , and create a characteristic environment of teaching , professional training

Department of English was founded in 2011 to have more graduates in the field of

English language especially after the fast developments in Kurdistan Region. Since then it has witnessed dramatic changes as regards the academic staff, the number of students, the

subjects taught, and the facilities offered. It has the morning and evening studies. The period of time required for the study is four years, after which the graduate is awarded bachelors

certificate in English language.

The English Department at Cihan University/Sulaimaniya helps students build

knowledge of the content and methods of English linguistic and literary studies. Our

graduates are well prepared for professional and graduate study and for lifelong learning.

They pursue careers in education, research, business, law, government, and publishing in

both Kurdistan Region and Iraq. The Department's policies and its reading and writing

intensive curriculum demonstrate our commitment to these goals.

The Accounting by IT Department is one of the important departments at Cihan

University/Sulaimaniya. It was established in 2011. It has the morning and evening studies.

The period of time required for the study is four years, after which the graduate is awarded

bachelors certificate in Accounting by Information Technology.

The Department of Accounting by Information Technology looks forward to become one of

the leading and distinctive sections at the local and regional level in the areas of work

supported by accounting information technology. The Accounting department seeks to

prepare and graduate a specialized staff that is able to use information technology and

accounting approaches in order to serve the local and regional market. This would be

accomplished by supplying these markets by qualified staff that is able to organize the

accounting labor according to the international standards related. To accomplish this, it is

needed to provide a unique educational environment, develop curriculums, stimulate the

Vision:

The Management Information Systems Department aims to be one of the most prominent

departments in Kurdistan region and Iraq, and at a highly ranked level internationally.

Mission:

The mission of the Management Information Systems Department focuses on providing

service courses in Management Information Systems, operations management, quantitative

analysis,and business law, etc... Moreover its mission is about providing the Management

Information Systems graduates with the knowledge and skills that are necessary to :Apply

information systems and technology in any organization, work efficiently as an individual, a

team member, or a leader, and communicate clearly and successfully within the

Management Information Systems team and the organization.

The main goals of this department are:
